Be warned, good rubies cost WAY more than any diamond of a similar size. IIRC, Timmy spent 15 months looking for this beauty. It's 1.13ct and cost in the $10k region.

Depending on your budget, you might want to look at red spinels which are gorgeous too and are much easier to find.

I''m not sure when it was that I first fell in love with rubies...when I saw Ms. Flutter''s ring, or when I saw this thread on an estate ruby ring found at Neiman Marcus. Wish high quality rubies were easier to find...and more affordable. Ahhh...some day...

I'm not sure if mine is a Fay Cullen, but it looks exactly like this. I got mine from a local antique/estate jewelry store that also sells re-pros. I love this ring, Fay Cullen also has some that are just rubies.
