Ruby ring

Heated Burmese ruby (2.42 cts) in 18k yg and wg ring. Made by DK. Rubies are very different beasts than spinels. Though both can come alive in direct sun! I need to take some comparison shots when I have some time. Last image looks a little brownish. The stone isn't IRL, though it does go darker in some lighting. A little darker than I thought it would, given how pink sapphires react in lower lighting, but I'm still on my learning curve with this gemstone thing several years later!
