Well, she is alright, I did not literally lose her. but my wedding is less than 5 weeks away and she cannot come. She has her dress, she has her stuff, but she cannot come. She is my brothers wife, and he cannot make it either. I think that makes everything doubley sad...

So now I am short a BM,,, Boo Hoo....

So I was thinking about having my girls walk out with the Best man and they being my replacement to my BM.

What do you think?

That''s a brilliant idea!

What a wonderful way to incorporate your darling daughters!

I think that''s a fantastic idea!

What''s not: asking a friend to sub. Believe it or not, that happened to me a bunch of years ago. A friend called me the week before the wedding and asked me to be a substitute bridesmaid!! The "real" BM couldn''t attend and she felt that her absence would somehow negatively impact the ceremony (asymmentry in the procession?). I was a good enough friend that she felt she could ask last minute, but not a good enough friend that I would have expected to be asked in the first place. Perhaps more importantly, I was roughly the same height and weight as the Absentee BM. I thought it was sort of silly but went along with the plan to make her happy.

Oh, I think that sounds great!

The same thing happened to me a few years ago. I went to a wedding with a friend of mine, and I ended up being a bridesmaid. I hardly even knew the couple, but I was the same size and height as the original girl.

Ohh, I think having your girls walk with the best man will be PERFECT! They are, after all, your "best girls," right? :)

That sucks they can''t come. I hope there''s a good reason.

I think it''s a great idea to have your girls walk out. Will make it even more special for you, and them!

Thanks everyone.. I am a little bummed. I am hoping that it will not look "off balance" since we already have 3 groomsman and now 2 BM and a 2 little ones (my daughters as BM.. but they will both walk with the BM)

It''s crazy... I am getting so close and enything that goes wrong sends me into tears... LOL

Oh what a bummer! I''d be sad too if it happened to me.

I think your daughters escorting the best man will be a lovey and fun idea. How excited are they going to be?!
