saks fifth avenue guide question

I am going crazy because I didn''t bookmark this, but I think I saw it here on ps.

It was a guide for getting the best deal on a saks fifth avenue dress. It talked about the 10 percent off for opening a credit card, then the 450 gift card for paying off a balance of 3000. Anyone know what I am talking about?? Thanks a million!

I don't know about a guide, but yes, you can get 10% off when you open a Saks account and if you purchase during at EGC event you get gift cards depending on how much you spend. There's actually an EGC going on right now (I think it's ending today), but there are always exclusions so it's important to look into the details.

Here's what you get:

$250 - $499 ---- $25
$500 - $999 ---- $50
$1000 - $1999 --- $100
$2000 - $2999 --- $300
$3000 or more --- $450

And here are the exclusions for this week's EGC (they change every time): Prada, Gucci, Zegna, Brioni, David Yurman jewelry, Christian Louboutin shoes, Dior handbags, Fendi women's apparel and handbags, Oscar de la Renta women's apparel, Jimmy Choo, Akris, Etro, Maison Martin Margiela, and Charvet (additional in-store Designer exclusions apply)

Hmmmm...I posted something similar not long ago, but it got deleted by the moderators. I guess you can''t advertise sales or something. It wasn''t about any gift cards for paying down a balance, though! That sounds really interesting!!
