Sapphire for everyday wear?

Would a sapphire be durable enough for everyday wear in a ring? I'm thinking it is, as it's got a Moh's hardness of 9, but I just wanted to check.
If it is suitable, y'all keep your eyes open for a lightish-blue or teal blue 8x6 emerald shaped scissors cut stone for me, please .

No ma'am, not yet. I've just started investigating the suitability of sapphire, so I haven't done anything yet. I will check him out, though.
