Thank you, TravelingGal! You know, the whole reason I got this stone was because I fell in love with your Amelia ring! I wanted a pink sapphire, stumbled upon PS and your thread and then called RW and said "Do you think you can find me a stone like TG's?". He picked it up in Tucson in 2010. I really wanted a setting like your Leon one-- it will never go out of style, but I thought the halo would be beautiful (and beef the stone up a little) and I'm delighted with it .

Thank you, maplefemme! I think the shank is 1.95mm. I love the look of a delicate shank but I wanted it to be sturdy so I asked him to make it as close to 2 mm as possible and he said he could make it 1.95. When I measure it, it looks to be 1.95 which is also the width of the halo-- I'll know for sure when I get it appraised. Hope this helps!
