Hi everyone, I decided to go ahead and make a wedding colors thread after I realized how relatively clueless I am. I am going to post some photos I''ve saved from The Knot and stuff. Let me know what you think. We are thinking a Spring wedding (March or April) and we have a brunette, redhead, and a blonde as bridesmaids. Yaaay. That makes things extra confusing.

Some blue dresses.

Some green dresses!

Another blue-tone.

Navy dresses!

LOVE the green, and it looks good on all complexions and hair colors as long as you watch the undertones. You could have each girl in a slightly different but harmonious shade of green too, I think that can look cool.

I like these bouquets as we were discussing earlier, I think they''d be great for bridesmaids! (Ty Gypsy)

Ooh that''s a really good idea!!

Finally, I like this orange, but I think it wouldn''t look so good on a redhead.

Here''s some cherry blossom centerpieces for you that I got from InStyle Weddings.

I actually like that orange one, but it depends on the shade of her hair. Is it more orangey or more auburn?

You could do three greens that are just a shade different so you see it very subtley. I have seen girls with dark red hair wear a sagey or apple green and it looks great. Beware of too much yellow with yellow complexions, but you can avoid issues if all the girls try to dresses on in the type of light you will be utilizing that day (i.e. sunlight, and then incandescent or all outdoor light).

I''d definitely say more orange. Definitely going to have to try the dresses hehe.

Sarahloves, I LOVE those navy dresses. It would probably be very flattering on everyone, right? But I have never been good with colors (as you can tell from my thread)...so...hahaha.

BTW, thanks for your advice on my crazy brainstorm thread!

Oooh I love the navy, too. Haha, no problem, sorry for butting in so much!

I actaully vote for the first blue. Navy does not look good on pale people. I haven't been able to wear navy since i was in gradeschool and was all tanned from so much playing. As for orange, it can make some people look really sickly.

I think the first color is the most flattering for everyone-- the subtle violet shade mixed in with the blue gives it a little warmth for the pale people out there.

Ooh good point. My redhead BM is pretty pale (so am I to be honest). Thank you for your input!

Those navy dresses are beautiful! They''re my favourite followed by the first blue ones.

I love everything you''ve posted so far, so I''m no help helping you decide. I also LOVE the cherry blossom centerpiece. It''s beautiful!
