Save the Date Advice needed...

[Pandora II]

Here are my STD''s.

Our venue is the site of the Battle of Hastings in 1066, which the Bayeux Tapestry tells the story of, so I took the design elements from the tapestry.

Which one of the two do you like better.

This is the first one, where I tried to make the background look like it was made of cloth:

I''m also debating whether to do them as fridge magnets or a postcards. FI is more keen on postcards...

I vote plain background (its less busy) and a magnet (I wouldn''t lose it that way). The design is really neat--love that it coordinates so well with your theme!

I vote for the second one with the plain background too. As for magnet vs postcard, I''m still up in the air about that myself, but I think I''m leaning toward magnet...

i really like the 2nd one better
and vote for a magnet- it is less likely to get lost/tossed out

people loved our magnets and they''re still up on a lot of friends'' fridges!

I''ve just realised that the dark blue is potentially a problem.

Our colours are burnt orange, mango, gold, sage green and ivory - no blue at all, so it won''t really tie in.

So I''ve changed some colours around - and I agree about the plain background.

Problem is that now I can''t make my mind up which looks best!

The outside border can be any of the above colours.

So, option 1 with the orange horse in front:

Option 2 with the gold horse in front.

FI thinks I''ve gone nuts and is refusing to give an opinion as he can''t see a difference between any of them!

I understand your OCD for sure!!! I vote for the last one you posted with the gold horse in front.
And, magnets are super convenient, but I like the look of a postcard, I think people can stick them on the fridge with the magnets they already have.

Including the new options, I vote for the fourth pic (with the green). The orange border is lovely too (goodness knows I love orange!) but the green gives a little more visual contrast to the color of the horses.

If the gold horse were in front in the green-bordered one, that would even more strongly get my vote. At that point though, you're really splitting hairs and getting into matters of preference!!

pandora, I think it all depends on which color is your primary theme color? You listed quite a few colors there. Which is more prominent? If it''s sage, then go with the sage border, if it''s mango, go with that!

Here we go - the FINAL version... of many final versions

The orange and sage are my main colours but I''d rather go heavier on the sage.

ETA: I posted the version without names blanked out, which the PS Admin removed for me very fast (Thanks!), hence why the posts appear to be in an odd order...
