I am finally getting ideas for invitation cards and save *the dates (thank you, michaels!).
here is my save the date magnet. what do you think?

*be gentle, i just spent 2 hours on it!*

I am thinking of attaching it to a small place-type card, so it will give more information such as
"please save the date of
May 15, 2010
for the wedding of
E & J,
Seattle, Wa"
obviously, i will need help with the wording

jcarly, those are really cute! You''ll definitely have to attach some sort of card, since the STDs aren''t hugely informative on their own...but as long as they''ve got the date and some way to remember it''s your wedding (which they do) I''d say they''re great!

On the card you attach, don''t forget "Formal Invitation to Follow"...one of my friends sent out STDs without indicating that and started getting RSVP calls and TONS of questions, LOL!

Haha! That is the first question I was going to ask!!

I LOVE ''em!! So cute!!

You could just enclose a notecard with all the details in the envelope.

Those are great!

PS: You have to play "I''m On A Boat" at some point during the wedding. Maybe the processional? Hahahha!!!

thanks everyone! one step down, only 20 more to go!
I realize we are going to have to hand cut these all.. BLEH. maybe i''ll use kinkos to do the printing part

They are awesome, but coming from someone who works in a mail processing plant...please don''t just stick these in an envelope with a 44 cent stamp on them. The machines might tear a few up.

thanks for the tip! any suggestion on the type of envelope to use?
