Say hello to our new family members...

Bianca and Gaffer! We met them yesterday and are going to pick them up and bring them home on Saturday! After all the cats we looked at, we couldn't be more happy with the two we're ending up with!

I am really happy we ended up going through a purebred rescue organization--the people who are running it are wonderful!

This is Bianca. They aren't sure what type of cat she is, but she is absolutely stunning! I love her curly tail.

They have been calling her something else, but I think Bianca really fits her. She's such a lady.

Gaffer is the one who stole Kris'' heart by being such a huge snugglebug! He''s a Scottish Fold and arrived at the foster home unexpectedly the same night we did. We couldn''t believe he was such a sweetheart and willing to snuggle with us so much after he had just gone for a long car ride. He settled right into Kris'' arms, though.

Here''s a close up of Bianca where you can really see her odd-eyes. She is such a beautiful girl. They said that they weren''t sure they were going to be able to adopt her to anyone because she was so skittish around people, but she was flirting up a storm with Kris and I and by the end of the time we spent at the foster home, she was snuggling up to me. The foster family couldn''t believe it!

What kind of cat is Bianca? I love her round face. I have a white odd-eyed cat like that but she has an Oriental face. I named her Pearl.

I love Bianca''s eyes!

Are you aware that she may be deaf in the ear on the side of her blue eye? It''s quite common in white cats, and if it is the case with Bianca, it should not impact her quality of life much (if at all). No biggie, at all, (IMVHO), just something to be vaguely aware of if she doesn''t come as quickly when called for dinner as Gaffer does!
