These are both very fine rubies! The first has great color, but the heavy silk appears to be affecting the clarity, and that's where I draw the line. I like a glow, but I don't want cloudy. I'm sure others will disagree. I like that it has a new SSEF cert. It's a bit larger than the second, but also substantially more $ (although that also has to do with the diamond weight).
I prefer the second stone's color and clarity! The only thing is the AGL report is from 1996, so you'll definitely want to update that. And be sure to check out the cut quality for both rubies when you receive the new pix! Good luck!!
ETA: Whoops! I just noticed the second ring also has a GIA report from 2016. That would satisfy me as far as purchasing it. I might recertify with AGL later on.

And, no, the ruby is not too pink in my opinion! This is obviously a very fine stone, but for me personally, when we're talking this amount of $$$, I would want a better quality cut. Also, while the silk is doing a good job of obscuring the window, it's too heavy for my tastes. It appears to be clouding the stone. But some folks really love that. So it's a matter of personal preference! How do you feel about it? I think much of the price tag on this guy is going towards the diamonds. So that may be something you want to think about. You may want to put a greater percentage of your funds into ruby quality/size.
