I found an Allure dress that might be "the one" at a local bridal store, but the store didn''t allow any photos, and didn''t give out the style number. I''ve tried eBay and preownedweddingdresses but couldn''t find it there.

This picture is of a Maggie that''s somewhat similar, but the Allure was much better IMO. The skirt was much softer and more flowy and a little less busy with the beading. The neckline was straight. The layer beneath the see-through layer was longer than the see-through layer, so the hem was straight. The satiny material on the bodice got wider towards the sides and had folds. Where the satiny material meets in the middle was simpler.

Have any of you seen an Allure dress that''s kind of like this? Any help would be much appreciated!

MustangGal, yes, I''m pretty sure it was an Allure. Those Mori Lee dresses you posted are beautiful. I was actually going to try on some Mori Lee gowns in the next couple days. Thanks!

Bring in this picture to the dress shop and tell them that you are looking for a dress similar to this and they will be able to find it. The problem with ELace is that they are scared that you might find your dress elsewhere so they are so hush hush about everything. If it isn''t too much trouble go back with a friend and find out exactly what dress it is. Your friend could "help" you try on the dress and you could check the label and tag.

gtn, thanks for the tip. I think that''s what I''ll try to do next.

ladyciel, thank you, that''s really close!

brazen_irish_hussy, yes, that was the first place I went. I''ve looked through all of their different lines, and I don''t think I missed anything. Unfortunately still couldn''t find it.

is this it??

cello, thanks for looking, that's really close too! The skirt on the one I tried on is softer and more flowy, and the satiny area is right underneath the bosom, and without a brooch. But that neckline and the beading on the bodice is exactly right. Thanks again!

I'm wondering if maybe it's from a previous season, and that's why it's not showing up on most websites.

no prob. when you say "flowy" do you mean that it is closer to the body and less a-line like this??

allure2119.jpg

oh yeah and did the satiny material tie in the back or was there a zipper, buttons, etc? what was the back like? i''m an allure "bride" (renewing my vows). I could barely find pictures of mine even with a style number, I know how frustrating it can be :-)

Yes, it was closer to the body and less A-line. By "flowy" I also mean that the fabric was softer. Probably not quite as soft as the 2119, though. I actually saved the photo of 2119 as something that was really close to what I tried on.

Unfortunately, I can''t remember what the back was like, because the salesperson used clips to make it fit. The dress did have a train. I didn''t realize that Allure dresses would be so hard to find, but thanks so much for all your help!

Also, congratulations on renewing your vows! That''s really exciting.

one of my friends that is getting married this summer bought an allure dress and even with the style number we could never find a picture online. so i wonder if they have some dresses that aren''t on their website?

Kim,

This most likely isn''t the gown you''re looking for (as it doesn''t have the sash), but is it close?

Allure 8532

I got an Exclusive by Allure (ACE) dress as well , and have never been able to find it online or their website. They do list some of each of their lines on the site, but definitley not all of them. Neither my friend''s or my dress was online. Sorry I am not much help in finding a picture for you, but just wanted to let you know that you are not the only one, and it is pretty difficult to find one.(I snuck a picture while I was in the fitting room)

K&L and split_shank, it must be that they just don''t list all their dresses then. I just wish I had even a style number so that I could check prices elsewhere instead of having to purchase from the B&M store where I found it. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Ebree and Gypsy, thanks for posting those dresses! They are close, and I love that 2104 dress. I''m going to be visiting other Allure retailers soon, so hopefully either the elusive one, or an even better one, will come up. Thanks again for searching!

OKAY. I found this site that MUST have every Allure dress out there. Allure starts on page 10and ENDS on page 42. You can click on the thumbnail, it opens the page with the dress details, click on the thumbnail there... and it makes the pics large. Has ALL their many lines listed too.

Now I did look at them all, but it''s late, I haven''t seen the gown, and well... I think you should look through it hon. GOOD LUCK, hope it''s here!

Gypsy, wow, that website has TONS of Allure dresses! Thanks so much for posting it, and for searching again! So I'm still working my way through it, but I did come across a Mori Lee dress today that's really, really similar. There are only two small differences--the Allure skirt was softer and more flowy, and it had more beading. I'm still hoping to find the Allure, but at this rate I'm not sure I will. Thanks again, Layla--I appreciate all your help!

Trying the attachment again:

I hope it helps! Oooooooooooooooh PRETTY dress!!! You are more than welcome.

I know this isn''t exactly the one you are looking for, but it is a picture of my dress. It sounds like the bodice part might be similar enough to explain what you are looking for. (the top of this and the skirt of ___) Hope it might help!
