Hi everyone!!

It''s good to be back, even if it is just to check in and catch up on all of your stories and be amazed at how many new girls there are on the list!! Welcome!! I can''t even believe I''ve been on the LIW list for over 7 months now.

Well, I am still patiently waiting, no proposal while I was in Hawaii and it looks like we are going to Costa Rica when my bf finishes the Bar. Not exactly my ideal place for a proposal. I have these flashes of a monkey snatching my ring away ...

So life is kind of lame right now. I still love my new job at Nordstrom, but I''m exhausted. I am busily getting ready for our famous Anniversary Sale that starts July 14 and have been putting in some serious hours (61 hours this week?!) So I am definitely staying busy, but my bf is studying for the bar 12 hours everyday of the week and I sincerely miss him. Its so hard. Everyone once in awhile, it was nice just to have a day during the weekend just for us to do whatever we wanted. I haven''t spent more than an hour of true one-on-one time since May. I know I am busy, but it would be really nice to spend some time with him when I am free. I cannot wait for the stupid Bar to be over at the end of this month. 29 days to go!!

Anyway, according to my suspicions ... my ring is half-way done. They jeweler said it would take 8 weeks once it was ordered ... and I think it ordered at the end of May. That means when he finishes the bar he couple possilby propose. The Costa Rica trip isn''t planned to happen until September, so I hope he doesn''t wait that long. Actually, it would be awesome to show my family when I take a road trip home in August to go to a wedding ...

I really need some sort of other distraction ...

Yay! Keep being patient. It''s a virtue some of us (read: me) lack!

I hope time goes well and quickly and that you are able to find time with your boy!

Do you know what your ring looks like, or is it a surprise?

Thanks for the well wishes!! I hope I find time too, I sincerely doubt it, but there are rumors that he might find time to watch fireworks with me on Tuesday.

So my avatar ring is my mock-up of what it might look like. I found it at a local jeweler and of course it was a custom made ring. I''ll attach a picture of it which doesn''t do the intensity of the ring any justice... the one at the jeweler right now is set with an incredible canary yellow diamond that is like, 2.8 carats.

Mine will definitely be more modest. The part I don''t know is what stone he picked out from the few we looked at (all in the 1.4-1.7 range) and what the final product will look like since I''ve only seen the setting with a colored diamond ... oh and the fact that the ring at the store is a 5.5 and doesn''t fit on my size 6.5 so I won''t know what it looks like on my ''sizeable'' hands.

Well, I''m not sure if its going to let me post the picture correctly ....

Apparently not, let''s try again. There we go!!

Oooh that''s beautiful! Is that a cushion? Are you looking to get a cushion also?

It''s a radiant and I really only looked at radiants. I love the "repeating mirror" effect of them and how they look like the sparkles go on forever. I''m not one for organization ...

Oh it''s pretty! Here''s hoping it''s done soon, and without needing any resetting! Yay!

HI Seattle!
Bop your guy over the head and make him take a several hour break. Go for a walk, have a picnic, and then watch the fireworks! Not only will your relationship be the better for it, but he''ll study better for having a chance to relax and clear his head for a bit.

Good luck with your ring! And I really do thing patience is clearly the hardest virtue to achieve.

I''m glad to hear you love your new job (though time-intensive), and agree with Indie -- drag him away for a little amount of time. I find that dinners are the easiest for me, personally, to make excuses for, cause you gotta eat anyway.

I can''t wait to see pics of the final product -- the setting is so pretty and unique. Any ideas what type of wedding band you''ll wear with it, or will it stand on its own?

Seattle, I''ve been wondering how you''ve been doing -- and hoping for very good news from you very soon! I love that setting, it''s just beautiful. I''m not one to give any advice on being patient b/c I certainly am not, so I will just wish you good luck on the remainer of your wait.

Thanks for the advice guys. I hope I can pull him away for a bit- I meanwhile have volunteered to help out my best friend from high school paint faces at Seattle''s big 4th of July celebration. I''m not holding my breath for him to join me ... oh, and as for the dinner idea? He says it takes to long ... hurumph. I just hope he doesn''t get sick from exhaustion.

Blenheim, IndieJones, and skerjen, and the rest of you ... thanks for just keeping me company and following my story-as sporatic as it is- I can''t wait to the final product. There just hasn''t been another setting out there yet that has made me gush quite like this one has. As for a wedding band however, I think this ring is just going to have to sit on its own or I''ll have to have something really simple custom-made for it. I tried on a think pave band with it and it really took away from the very fluid feel of the ring.

26 more days until the finishes the bar (I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.)

I''m not fooling myself into thinking I''m patient am I? After 5 1/4 years together and 7 months after he first asked me to go looking at rings ... I''m being fairly patient right??

Happy Fourth to All if I''m not online tomorrow. and remember these words of wisdom:

"Don''t drink a Fifth on the Fourth or you won''t go forth on the Fifth." (Sometime I think I''m soooo clever.)

Seattle, sorry about the lack of proposal! I was just sitting here the other day wondering where you had gone off to (and then I remembered!), and hoping things had gone well for you. Hey, at least the ring is partially done!! Have a Happy 4th!!

I love your countdown. I do the same thing, over almost everything! Sometimes it''s good to remember even when we think something is *forever* off in the distance, that it''s really just a number of days. I have to remind myself of that *OFTEN* here lately.

I hope your guy steals away a bit of time for you two tonight!

Have fun painting faces!

Hi Amber!! Oh, its good to see that you are still around!! How''s the wedding planning going?? Do you still absolutely love your radiant?? Have a happy holiday!!

and thanks Fisher, I have to always think of things in digestable bites. When I went out of the country for 8 weeks and he went on a bike trip across the country for 12 ... I guess that was worse. I have to put things into perspective I guess.

Happy Independence Day to you all!!!
