MyEndlessLove (Monique) posted on the LIW thread but I thought it should be it''s own thread. It sounds like she needs some support right now!
Here''s her post, and my rather pathetic (and ANGRY) reply -- not anger directed at her, but the boy -- the SILLY, INCONSIDERATE BOY!

Yay'' I''m engaged with the most un-romantic proposal ever. "Your ring came in the mail today. It is sitting in the living room." Great... thanks. Yup so I guess this means you can take me off the list. It''s sad but I''m not very excited at all

You have got to be devastated! I can''t even imagine how that feels. Sometimes guys make me want to SCREAM AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS!

How could he do that? Were you involved in the planning of the ring? Did you know it was in the works? Are you sure he''s not planning anything else? Did you guys talk about it at all? Okay, lots of questions, I know... I''m just trying to get a handle on what''s going on

Regardless, I''m sending you a BIG hug and hoping that you''re doing okay. Just take a minute and remember that he loves you, and WANTs to be engaged... some men are just absolute 2 year olds when it comes to romance. They just don''t get it sometimes. The ring, the timing, the words - they just don''t understand it''s all important to us. But honestly, he deserves a good kick in the nuts for doing something like that... want me to come over and do it? I''m willing!

Also, here''s a DRASTIC thought... one that a lot of PriceScopers might disapprove of

(since we''re all so eager to get engaged)... Would you ever consider saying "No, honey, this is not how I want it to be. I would love to be engaged, but really, let''s make it special?" Okay, the wording on that SUCKS, but he needs to understand that this is IMPORTANT to you... might hurt in the short term for both of you, but might make you happier in the long run??

Ugh are you serious? I don''t understand...one of my friends got engaged a couple years ago and her bf did the exact same thing. Gave her a ring for xmas and said ''well you know what this means.'' I was like WHAT? Poor girl. =(
