Setting advice/mod

My partner has her heart set in this ring.
İt will be two tone like in the pictures.
Jeweller has adviced somewhat against the way the diamond sits in the prongs. He did say even though he trusts verragios workmanship he rather not risk it.

İ would like some ideas on mods for this ring. İ was thinking a basket like other verragio rings to secure it more. However im wanting the pave to meet at the top of the basket and not the bottom.
İ was also thinking of leaving a section at the bottom plain for adjustment sizing if needed in the future.

İ would like some advice from the awesome team we have here
The model is Venetian 5003
The stone is a round brilliant
0.771 carat G VS1 H&A

Will this modified design be a custom piece made by your local jeweller that's inspired by the Verragio Venetian 5003 style?
Or will Verragio be customizing the ring?

İ will be most likely getting a price from Verragio to see if it fits into my budget.

İ was given the option of having one made similar as well for a good price however İ do not want it to be an exact copy if İ go down that route İ guess.

İt really comes down to the modifications and overall cost.
İ guess.

Verragio has several versions of the twisted shank style, maybe they can swap a head or add the two tone element you're looking for in the inner shank detailing. I would ask what the upcharge would be to piecemeal some elements.

İ have a video of the Parisian one first one you added however İ dont like how the pave finishes at the bottom.of the prongs.

İn the picture i added the pave is attached to the top of the stone.

İd want the basket to be the same i guess

I like that bottom one that @ItsMainelyYou posted. The top one looks so high. It would be a good idea to find out how high it would
be with your size stone.

I do want to caution about having something similar (with changes) made by someone else. Sometimes vendors/jewelers
are optimistic about what they think they can do. This setting is very intricate and I can see lots of opportunities for it NOT
to turn out the way you expect. Make sure you see pictures of the vendor's work that is similar to what you are looking for.

I would imagine that Verragio will be able to help you achieve the look you want with the security you need. I'd definitely reach out to them first.
