I want to set my new Namya spinel, but would like setting and gold color opinions. All are by Julia B. I want to keep it simple and only focus on my spinel, so no halo.
Spinel:

Thank you!

Tulip or Lotus for me. Low set and very easy to keep clean.

I love the first setting!

Lily seems a little high, doesn't it?

I would go with the lotus. It’s going to be so pretty!

Tulip! I love this stone! It’s gonna be perfect

Either the Tuliip or Lotus settings would be lovely :-) I favor visual economy in ring settings, especially for larger stones. The stone should be the focus of attention :-)

Gold color?

From the pics your skin tone is light as the spinel so I would go with contrast. Yellow gold, rose gold, or black rhodium plating over gold.

Tulip and Lily for my vote. The lines are soft and fluid, in keeping with the feminine stone colour.

I think I would choose the first one!

Regarding setting color: could you place a stone next to different colored gold chains or other pieces? It would be easier to see, what would look better.

I really like the first setting! I'm thinking rose gold, but trying it with next to different metals sounds like a good idea!

Either the tulip or lotus would be my selection - both are perfect for your stone, imo. As for metal, I'm generally biased in favor of rose gold, however, I really think it'll compliment the spinel!

I vote rose or yellow gold

Hi, MrsKMB,
I have a lily ring by JuliaB and she set the center lower for comfort (as in your lotus picture). It’s a very wearable ring. Mine doesn’t have the curlicues on the side but it does have diamonds bezel set into the band. I found Julia easy to work with. If you explain your lifestyle and what you’re trying to achieve, she is very helpful.

Congratulations on your pretty spinel! It going to be beautiful set!

Your ring is lovely! Thanks for the info--it didn't occur to me to ask for a modification.:oops2:

Tulip or Lotus in RG would be my vote.
