I am intersted in buying the following stone from ebay. I know, i know, ebay is shaddy w/stones. I am intersted in having an expensive pendent made for all my hard work that I''ve done over the last year, and i love the color and size. Any ideas of where i can get a mounting for not so much? Can be sterling silver or white gold, doesn''t matter, as long as i can get it set!
Is this stone okay?

This is a lab created stone? It''s really pretty.

I love it. It would look nice in a pendant.

Man made orange sapphires are not my thing, especially when you can get an orange colored citrine for very little money. Use toolhaus.org to review negative feedback from ebay sellers.

eh, i''m sure it''s ok. it might be a lab create though. if that doesn''t bother you, i say go for it.

=)

as far as a setting, i vote for something in yellow gold and simple. gotta let that stone shine!

ps. have you thought about making a solid sterling cuff bracelet out of that? i think that would be totally rockin!!

I tried looking for your size, but goodness... there are so many! I''m not sure if they will make it to fit the stone, I guess you can ask them.

honestly, if i were you, i would find a student to do it for you. if you live in an area with a reputable jewlery design college, find a senior and see what you can pay them. the best models for ideas that i''ve seen are cuffs set in amber. that should give you an idea (being that it''s a warmer color) of how yours will look set in silver. something smooth, modern, and simple would look amazing. you just need to find someone who has access to the equipment needed to custom make this at a reasonable price in solid sterling.
