I was lucky enough to grab a set of 6 special little color change sapphires from Mastercut gems during their May sale. They're actually quite astounding. Indoors they are pink-orange which the vendor describes as padparadsha colored. In mixed light they are golden pink and outdoors they are gold and sometimes even with a flash of green. Its really hard to describe let alone photograph! The sapphires are only heat treated and are all windowed slightly. But I love how unique they are.
I had an idea of setting them in a bezel 3/4 eternity setting to use as my wedding band but looking and the size of them (average 5 x 4mm) they seem a little large for what I had in mind. I'd be worried about knocking the side stones and damaging them.
I'd love to hear your suggestions on if the setting I had in mind could work. Or any other setting ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'll be wearing the ring everyday and I'm not one for babying my everyday jewelry. I also don't necessarily need to use them all.
Also does anyone think its worth having them recut?
Vendors pic below is probably the best representation of the indoor color

Couldn't capture outdoor color for the life of me but this is as close as I could get at a sunny window
