I’m obsessed with imperfect gems. I like a lot of color zoning, silk, opalescent gems, anything that looks galaxy-like. When I found this unheated pink and orange pear sapphire I had to get it.

The color of the sapphire is a bright pink, no brown or grey tone. Sprinkled throughout the stone are little ink blots of orange.

I’m thinking white gold or maybe even platinum to amp up the intensity of the two colors.

It’s roughly 8x6mm (slightly larger) and I’m thinking halo but would love some other ideas too.

I'm not a fan of moi e tois usually, but I think if you could find another stone that complements this well, it'd be glorious. Like "POW from across the room" glorious.
Ooh I like that idea, maybe an oval or round. I don’t mind getting a little “out there” with this idea.

My favorite vendor! Happy to see him getting some PS love. I doubt this stone would be certed as a pad given the lavender tones and the color zoning, but it is nevertheless very attractive and surely a great price. With this stone I would love to see an asymmetrical floral halo: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/blue-sapphire-and-pink-sapphire-rings.267963/

Looking forward to seeing more photos of this stone!

I’m sure it wouldn’t be certified as such, but it’s pink and orange and makes me happy, so in my mind it’s the perfect padparadscha :)

I think given the offbeat nature of the stone it definitely calls for an asymmetrical setting.

Very pretty stone!!!

I’d have a hard time not wanting to find some melee in the same/similar pink and orange colors to randomly sprinkle around it, if it were me

A widhbone band with the haloed pear sitting in the cusp, like a mini tiara.

On my phone so can't find the pics I have in mind, however the design inspiration came from Chaumet the French jewellery company and widely copied.

DK :))

This is the Chaumet ring I was referring to.

The issue I have with this design is that it may not date well.

I have seen the Chaumet ring and other variants in person, and they are very nice. Like mini tiaras on the finger.

I love it! Who is the vendor?

I was trying to think of what else the color of this stone reminds me of, and then it struck me that it is the exact same shade as this variety of rose in my mother's garden!

Such a unique and lovely stone! It reminds me a lotus bud in sunset, bathed in red clouds; stunning beautiful yet tranquil.
