Setting my silky spinel

I've chosen a mounting for my silky orangy pink silky spinel. I'll be mounting it between two pretty grass green demantoid garnets. Thanks to brandy for her inspiration!! I wish these pictures could catch the beauty of the garnets. They are much brighter than the muddy looking color in the pictures.

Mounting is a three stone from LOGR. They are modifying the middle to fit my 6x8 oval spinel. I really like the engraved/embossed look on the mount, and with the demantoid sides I don't think there is any reason to add diamond melee.

After much consideration I'm going with white so as to just let the colors of the stones PoP! I'm hoping it does just that. I really was inspired by the beautiful play of colors in your ring. Thanks SOOOO much!

I can now finally SEE the setting! It's very nice, and I was considering that same setting for a three stone diamond ring. My only reservation about setting those three is that the spinel eclipses the color of the demantoids. You don't even notice they're there. The demantoids also don't look that green to me, but it could be your photograph. I know demantoids can shift in color, so that's something to consider. How about a pair of tsavorites instead? I think the color would compliment the spinel better, especially if you could get a nice medium toned pair.

TL, it is totally the pictures. What I see with my eye is a lovely apple/grass green that looks like springtime leaves beside a wonderful early tulip. I cannot get a representative picture with my camera! I've attached the vendor pic which is much closer to the actual.

Here's a better picture of the demantoids, especially the left hand stone. The center is not my spinel however.
