I thought that there was a post about this but I can''t find it. I think its the bezel, right? By how much?
 
Not sure what post you''re talking about but i would think a bezel setting would make the stone look whiter since you can see more color from the side. If the bezel covers the side of the diamond, I guess it appears whiter.

I don''t know about the bezel post either...if there is one, let me know. Well, I am not an expert, but I think diamonds, no matter what color or flourescence they have, look whiter and more brilliant set in white gold or platinum...hope this helps...

For diamonds in the colorless and near colorless range you shoudl use white metal to make it look whiter and if you go lower in color rage then yellow gold wont make as obvious color contrast. I hope this helps I havent read anything about bezels...
