#JOTW Shameless Showoffs: Show Me Your Bling!

BIRDS OF A FEATHER
by Billie Eilish

You had that same look in your eyes
I love you, don't act so surprised"

I have to say that as nice as Gengar is and although superior in colour, sometimes you just can’t beat the pure heft of a good old 13+ carat stone. It won’t be fine quality but there’s a sense of fun that a perfect snot can’t deliver!

Ummm hello!! Please tell us more about this latest post!!! :kiss2:

Hello!
So my father is an eternal admirer of rubies... He appreciates them so much and he is fascinated by them. He loves them so, that he owns many ruby rings that he enjoys wearing himself (even though this is not common for a man) and he always choosed to gift them to me and my late mom for all important occasions. This led to us having a big collection of such pieces but it seems that for my dad they are not enough! So for my latest birthday, which was a few days ago, he presented me with this mesmerizing treasure. Based on its report it is 15.4 ct, with origin from Mozambique. I'm planning on having it removed from this temporary setting, sent to GIA for further certification and then have a new forever setting custom made for it.
The stone has inclusions. I louped it and saw inclusions that seem like feathers, needles, etc. Some of them can be seen in the photos. Nevertheless, they don't affect the overall beauty, sparkle and glowing of the stone which is breathtaking.
Funny story: on the day of my birthday, dad showed up, smiled at me and without saying anything he just placed the box with the envelope which contained the certificate under the christmas tree. He then smiled again, turned around and left!!! I then run to the tree and discovered the mesmerizing treasure.... ❣️

Happy Birthday @Natylad. Your ring is gorgeous. The story about your dad is beautiful. It made me tear up.
