Hi! I am thinking since all of us here are newlyweds, we must have received some kind of wedding gift from our in-laws!

So, let me start the ball rolling.

My gift is a sapphire diamond ring. No statistics though. My father-in-law gave the ring to my mother-in-law when my hubby was born. So, it guess it is a push-present!;-) They went on to have another son (diamond ear studs) and one daughter (three stone ring). How lucky is my mother-in-law! I sure hope that my hubby takes after his father...

Last picture. I plan to wear it as a right-hand ring for dressy occasions.

That. is. GORGEOUS!!! You''re such a lucky lady, your FIL sounds like a total keeper!

My in-laws gave us a check that bounced

My mom and stepdad contributed a bit to the wedding, which was gift enough.

My dad also contributed to the wedding and he also gave me a sapphire pendant to match a pair of earrings he gave me for my 21st birthday. He''s also handed down some heirloom furniture to DH and I as quasi-wedding presents.

DH''s parents contributed to our wedding by paying for our open bar, which was incredibly generous of them! On top of that, they paid for our hotel suite on our wedding night. They booked us into a historical boutique hotel in our city, and it was gorgeous!

My mother handled all of our wedding favors, centerpieces, bridal shower, and our wedding cake, which was made by a family friend.

These were very sweet and thoughtful gifts!

Ridiculous... Sorry

Our gifts weren''t very exciting, we got a vacuum and a cookie sheet, and they helped with some wedding expenses.

This is an amazing ring livinginsg! I can''t believe that was your wedding gift from them!!

We got money from my FI parents for a refrigerator. It was really more for a house warming gift though. And I guess my parent aren''t going to give us anything since they are chipping in for the wedding, and it''s a destination in Italy.

Awesome ring.

Hudson- your wedding cheque from them bounced? Awesome welcome to the family.

We got our wedding present 3 years ago when we weren''t even engaged! We were buying a house and his sister was getting married. We were told she was gettting £x as a present and we could have the same as an early present towards the house. Now we are engaged they are contributing to the wedding too.

Your ring almost made me fall out of my chair!!

BEAUTIFUL!!

I don''t think I''ll be getting a wedding present specifically for me...(like a beautiful sapphire ring) but FFIL is paying for our honeymoon which I consider a FAB wedding present, and F-grandparents-IL are getting us new bedroom furniture which I''m really excited about.

What a gorgeous ring!

I don''t have pics of our gift, but Fi''s dad is a big executive for a big company and has been for years. He has so many airline miles that it really is ridiculous. They gave us first class round trip tickets to anywhere American Airlines flies and 1,000,000 miles.

We haven''t picked a honeymoon yet, but now the world is totally open to us! Our first purchase with those was a quick weekend trip to NYC the weekend after our wedding. We are hoping to pick a honeymoon by October so I can have something to look forward to after the wedding!

Gorgeous ring.

My in-laws gave me the best gift in the entire world, on the right:

Hudson_Hawk: A check that BOUNCED? And I thought I had problems with my in-laws..... actually, for all that I complain about them (with justification), they are very generous with their money. We bought our house about a year before our wedding, and they helped with the closing costs, which was wonderful of them, and gave us some money for furniture. They also paid for the rehearsal dinner. And as a wedding present, they got us several of the small appliances off our registry, so that was nice.

My parents paid for the entire wedding. They also bought us our couch as an early wedding present when we moved in our house. My mom gave me an heirloom china hutch, my great-grandmother''s china and my great-uncle''s Waterford crystal at the same time. Right before the wedding, she also gave me my great-grandmother''s gold watch and silverware. At my bridal shower, she gave me lingerie (which I haven''t been able to bring myself to wear

), and a lovely jar with a year''s worth of wishes, which made me cry. She also sent me a $300 gift card to use for clothes for our honeymoon.

With my parents, I know their generosity comes from love, but with my in-laws, it feels more like they''re trying to buy us or use $ to make up for they way they act, but my husband and I are incredibly fortunate.

Our future children are going to be very, very spoiled

Yes, my MIL''s gift bounced....needless to say, she didn''t contribute anything to the wedding either...

Living, that sapphire ring is stunning!

HH, I absolutely cannot believe your in-laws'' check bounced!! Have they mentioned it at all to you?
