I''m looking for ideas and I just can''t seem to make up my mind! If you don''t mind, please share what you got your girls for their gifts :) (Don''t need any guy gifts, that''s fi''s domain lol)

my bms don''t wear much jewelry, so i went the spa gift card route

My girls each got:
- an embroidered bag with their monogram on it.
- a Celtic knot necklace with a garnet bezel pear dangle
- swarovski earrings with matching bracelet
- a black pashmina
- black flip flops to change into at the reception
- rose clips to go in their hair

Mothers got:
- a mother of the ____ bag
- a bunch of bath goodies
- necklaces specific to them

Each one of the guys got something different that pertained to that guy.

wow thanks for the suggestions ladies :) definitely got me thinking

Fun! I am doing travel jewelry boxes by Wolf Designs in each girl''s favorite color
http://everafterstore.com/wolf_designs.html

I am not putting jewelry in them because I am actually not giving any, but I am also giving each girl a fancy/cool picture frame with a special picture of us in it.

I paid for half of my MOH's dress (against her will
3.gif
she wanted to pay for all of it) and all of my BM's dress (she's FI's sister and was a poor college student at the time). Plus, I'm paying for them to get their hair done. So those two things were already pretty substantial gifts, but I wanted to get something special to give to them. They both live far away and need to fly, so I wanted something they could either eat before they left, or easily transport home. So, I got them truffle collections from my favorite chocolate store - Vosges Haut-Chocolat: http://www.vosgeschocolate.com/product/exotic_truffles_16pc/exotic_truffle_collection

They cost ridiculous amounts of money to ship and I didn't really have time or money to drive into NYC just for chocolate, but one of my co-workers lives 10 blocks from the store and was nice enough to pick them up for me last week
9.gif
They're kind of expensive for chocolate, but the flavors are amazing and they're really special. And my MOH has a sweet tooth like you wouldn't believe

ETA: Claritek, I looove those pendants! I thought of buying something like that for my girls, but I just didn't have the time/know where to look (to get something I could afford, that is). I should've started earlier and had some made. Or maybe I'll just get one made for myself

Claire those are beautiful! Lucky girls you had.

I got them each a necklace that fit the wedding. It''s a 2 layer necklace with pearls. Think DBTY but with pearls. They were from Express of all places!

I''m also paying for us to get pedis the day before or day of the wedding.

I still need to get my sister (the officiant) something...

I did monogrammed terry cloth wraps. LOVED by all, and I even got one for myself that I always wear around the apartment.
Price-
Wrap: $19.99 + 20% off coupons from BB&B
Monogram: $5

Also did hair or make-up on day of wedding. I gave them each a choice of which they wanted.

I came up with a great idea! Please tell me your honest opinions, I don''t want to give them something they would hate!

I''m thinking of doing a silver charm bracelet for each girl. One of the charms will be a friendship or sister charm. Another one will be a wedding cake or something cute like that. The other 3 or 4 charms will be symbols that are meaningful to me and her because they will remind us of a memory or of each other :)

So what do you ladies think? Good? Bad? Undecided? lol

I love that it is personal, but I think it depends on what your friends'' personal taste in jewelry are. For me, if I received a charm bracelet, I probably wouldn''t wear it, but it is definitely something I would keep forever.

Just a side note... I know that you were previously short on cash, and the charm bracelets that last the longest are sterling silver (as well as the charms). That could get quite expensive. How much are you looking to spend per BM?

I am in the process of researching that meresal :) I would love to do sterling silver but may just have to get regular silver. Also I was thinking what if one of the girls doesn''t want something like that. I dunno, this is by far the hardest decision I''ve had to make during my wedding planning, how funny is that :)

Well my wedding is going to be in vegas- my gift is going to be hair, make-up and massages.... and possibly matching necklaces for them for the wedding (just two girls).

One of my friends did long sleve robes that she had monogrammed. I think that would be GREAT for colder weather!

Let me see what I can find online. You could order them super cheap... and then google places that monogram aroudn your area, and just call aroudn for teh cheapest price. I found a guy that worked out of his garage and he only charged $5!!

ETA: Sorry I haven't been around much... what are your colors now? Still Green and gold?

Thanks meresal! Green and gold? Might make my packer happy father ecstatic! We have different shades of green (dark and light) theres some silver mixed in with black too. It''s a whole mess of colors lol.

LOL! For some reason I remember yellow, and I thought I''d be safer by saying gold. Ha.

I might be a little late, but I got them each Coach wristlets... I got them from the outlet and they were 27 dollars a piece. They seemed to have gone over really well!

we considered making his boutonniere purple and gold lol man would that tick him right off haha

I was one of ladyciel''s lucky bridesmaids: she got each of us girls a digital picture frame and memory card, and I LOVE it. It was my first digital picture frame, and it won''t be the last!

I was also a BM in another wedding where we received totes monogrammed with our names, flip flops for the reception, and our jewelry for the wedding (just simple CZ studs and pendant).

Hope that helps!

I struggled with this one a lot too. Then it just sorta came to me. I suppose PS did influence me a little.

I really like the towel idea. Its useful and won''t just sit around collecting dust. This is the same approach I took with favor choices for my friend''s shower. I made sure that whatever we bought was something that could be useful daily or would be used up (like soap or lip balm, which is what we got). The other good thing about the towel wrap is that its something that EVERYONE can use. The issue with picking out jewelery (and I took a big chance with mine) is making a choice that the girl doesn''t really like.

I like that idea Smurfy...

I did Tiffany''s key necklaces along with the wedding day jewelry...I am no help-I spent a lot

i struggled as well! here''s what i came up with for my 4 BM''s and 2 MOH''s:

vera bradley cooler/lunch bags- ~$15/per, i bid for all of them on eBay.
vera bags

flip flops from Old Navy (i then glued flowers on them to make them special
3.gif
)- $22 total

earrings from etsy- all different but all with green stones that were picked out special for each girl, and $25 total
from the 5andunder shop

and my favorite part is personalized stationary from etsy. seriously- they are so cute, came packaged great, and i know they will love it!
from katydyddesigns- i ordered the birdy on a branch in my colors- $55 total.

all in all, i think they are nice gifts, and personal and useful.

I got them each a cute bag with their name emboidered on it, I''m paying for our manicures, and I''m giving them each a gift cerificate for something they like (i.e., one is half persian & takes belly dancing, so I got her one to an awesome middle-eastern restaurant that is gorgeous, delicious, & has belly dancers). I''m still trying to get the other 2 sorted out...maybe MAC makeup for one & a boutique for the other. I''m also taking care of my 2 brothers'' gifts (both are broke so I got the restaurant certs so they can take their girlfriends out). I''m also including their girlfriends on the manicure trip.

The groomsmen were easier. One live is LA & does nothing but watch movies, so we got him a cert to Amoeba Music. FI''s youngest brother is a track/cross country coach & marathon runner, so we got him one for his favorite running supply store. His other brother is a toy collector, so we bought him a cert to an awesome vinyl toy store he loves.

I had 3 BM''s (my best friend and 2 SIL''s). I wanted to get them gift''s they''d use, so I got them each a cooler (cute pink Igloo ones from Target).
These were the coolers: http://www.printglobe.com/Products/ProdDetail.asp?productid=15891&utm_medium=shoppingengine&utm_source=yahooshopping

In each cooler, I put a yummy Yankee Candle and a earring/necklace set for them to wear to the wedding. I also sprung for their hair and a hotel room for the night before the wedding.

The boys also got coolers, but inside theirs were cufflinks and huge beermugs.

Yes, we all like beer

I am buying my bridesmaids their dresses for their gift. Boring but practical.

And even though I didn''t think I would, I''m also going to buy them some cute jewelry from etsy, and will probably spring for the hair/makeup too.
