I thought it would be fun for people to tell their stories about how they found Pricescope. I came across it by accident when I was searching for a shared prong eternity band and was hooked ever since!!
 
Hi Kaleigh~

What a fun topic. I found it by accident, too. I was looking for a right hand ring, no....I was looking to upgrade, no.....I was looking for a new setting, yes! I was confused as to what to do and did end up with a new setting for my ER. Through all of that I found Pricescope and have been hooked ever since. I was a lurker for a long time then decided to come out and join everyone!

I found it by accident too...

I had just tried on my first ring with my bf and got overly excited. At the time, I was obsessed with Britney Spear''s engagement ring. So, I did some research and discovered that her ring is a split shank... I typed in split shank in google and up came a post from PS! I''ve been hooked ever since!!!
 
I had run a search on the Los Angeles Jewelry District and Emerald Cut diamonds. Would you believe that theer was a link to PS that had exactly what I needed?

It''s funny how most people found this site by accident. Thanks to PS I bought the eternity band that I was searching for from Signed pieces, it''s in my avatar.

I was researching "Fancy Yellow Diamonds." Imagine how excited I was that there was actually a website that fed my obsession with jewelry!

I was lurking on DT when "PS" and P......... kept appearing in posts and finally, in one post, the entire name appeared and the rest is history.

Belle, I don't get it.

Like virtually everyone here, a Google search brought it up for me. Interesting though, I tried to replicate it again, putting in, as I recall:

ideal cut diamonds Washington DC...repeated for Maryland

and Pricescope did not appear in either of the first 50 hits for either search...not sure if it's there at all.

In contrast, NiceIce was in the first couple for both searches.

Leonid, can you fix for our future friends?
 
I just love looking at jewelry - I was already married so I wasn''t looking for an e-ring or w-band or anything in particular. I stumbled upon DT first and lurked there for awhile, finally joined there and started posting and saw references to PS. Checked out PS and noticed there were a lot more members and posts on a daily basis. Lurked on PS but did not post for several months, and finally joined!

I think (?) Google''s output is weighted by the number of times someone clicks on a link when they do a search, so if, in doing a search similar to yours, a significant number of people gloss over the PS link and go right to NiceIce, they move up in the results listing and are posted higher next time. I think this is how it is, which is why you may be getting a different output (or PS is lower on the list) now???

I did a Google search looking for info on a local Jeweler and a PS link came up. I lurked for several months before joining. I can imagine what i would have done or how much extra $$ I would have spent without PS, but the best part was meeting all my diamond lover friends

Like Regular Guy, I was searching the internet for local diamond stores in DC & VA when PS popped up, much to my husband's and bank account's dismay. I haven't looked back since

i, like most everyone else here, was probably trying to find diamond information. i don''t really even remember what i was searching for, but i discovered this site and the wealth of information it contained and have been here ever since!

I did a search for the Ritani Endless Love. PS came up with a posting on the specific ring that I was looking for.

At the time the post was inquiring about the size of shank & halo. I briefly looked at it and then moved on to other links. Somehow I managed to find my way back to PS.
 
Me too! I googled looking for cushions. (Which I''m still looking for!)
I discovered Ps, which led me to GOG where I found the Regent, and the Jubilee.
Drool. I now I''m addicted, and gotta get my PS fix everyday! I need a twelve step program!

I was searching for info/pricing for Michael B rings, after seeing them at a local B&M
 
I was having buyers'' remorse after I purchased my pear diamond. Searched Google for internet prices trying to make sure I made the right choice. Somehow I ended up a PS and have found the wealth of information so enlightening. I thought I was an informed consumer, but while getting my *education* here at PS, I realized how little I knew. Now it''s an addiction. I tried to go cold turkey once or twice with no luck. Maybe I should Google a 12-step program for *forum addiction.*
