It’s fantastic in the sun too :mrgreen2:

Here are some additional pics for perspective- I really like how it easy it is to wear.

Thanks @arkieb1! I was hoping to see more folks over here, but I guess this part of the forum doesn’t get a lot of views. It’s too bad because there are such gorgeous items here.

Think I should cross post it or move the thread?

Yes probably that way a lot more people will see it!!!

Ok... requested the mods to move it. It would be nice to see more folks share their great finds - can never have enough bling pics! =)2

I love these crescent brooch conversions, yours looks fantastic on you.

It looks like it was always meant to be a pendant!

Wow DK did an amazing job - I just spent too long looking for crescent brooches to buy to do the same! It’s beautiful and looks so wearable

Thank you! I’ve wanted one for quite a while. I am thrilled with this one because it can look dressy or still work when I go casual.

Doesn’t it?? =)2 I was a bit stressed choosing the chain - indecisive, really. I am so glad it worked out nicely.

They are so fantastic and do such excellent work! I love working with them. And hang in there - it took me a few months to find this one. I ended up running an automatic search on ebay and this one popped up one day. I couldn’t hit “Buy it Now” fast enough! :lol-2:

What a great pendant! I love that you made it into something wearable and wonderful!
This would be my go-to necklace, for sure!

That conversion turned out well! Glad to see there are other fans of crescent pendants as well.

I also purchased an antique crescent brooch recently, and I'm still waiting for the work to be completed. This is Victorian, and it will become a necklace, flower ring, and two pairs of stud earrings.

There's roughly .65 ctw of diamonds in a hodgepodge of cuts: Swiss, single, rose, & OEC. The sapphires total about 2.22 ctw and appear to be mined. The stones are set in silver on top of rose gold, and the pendant will hang from a rose gold chain.

Thanks @stracci2000! Part of me felt a twinge of guilt for doing it, almost like I’m dismantling a piece of history. However, now I will definitely make it a staple piece - and it will see lots of wear.

Ok, this has to be the mother lode of a find!!! First off, it’s GORGEOUS!:love::love: And to hear you’re building essentially a full suite (plus) of pieces is amazing. I hope you’ll share it all with us when they’re finished.

Thank you! I’ll start a SMTB thread once I get it. I feel like I lucked out; this was my $6,500 inspiration:

My version cost $2,258 all-in.

This isn't jewelry, but jewelry related.
Here is a sweet vintage jewelry box I recently found at a thrift store.
I'm guessing 1940s, but could be later.

Oh, that is so pretty! I need her twin sister!

Oh that's a great find! Also digging that bow piece of jewelry you placed in there :D

Should I tell you that I paid $3 for it? The box, not the pin!
Love the thrift store!
Here's a shot of the pin, 10k rose gold, amethyst. 1940s, from estate sale.

I had to have him, even though I had no idea what to do with him. Since I only wear mismatched earrings, I decided to turn him into a stud since he’s such a studly little beast, anyway!

Here he is in my ear:

The fox is cute as can be Wee!!
