Shoe project, what do you think?

I bought these shoes in October or somethign at DSW. They are ivory with iridescent Ivory sequins sewn on. At first they rocked, now Im bored. So last night as I am watching will Ferrell host saturday night live, where he comes out during the queens of the stone age doing the "more cowbell" thing (i almost died laughing) I started thinking that I could glue some beads on and that it might look cool. So today we go to Ben Franklin and after I buy 4 pounds of candy, we make it to the bead section. I bought some bluey purpley bugle beads and some purple shimmery sead beads. I spent the last hour glueing them on with clear tacky glue. Im kind of wishing I had bought green, champagne and brown beads now too...oh well...what do you think? The original is on top and the "new and maybe improved" is the bottom.

Very cool- I bet they will look great in restaurant lighting, too. when they''re done please post more photos so we can see the pair. I have so many shoes from specific events that I''d love to give new life to, but I probably wouldn''t get past the candy section at ben''s

Actually my dress came with a matching purse and shawl with all the proper beading. I am probably going to run by the store and get the other three colors of beads that go with my dress. I figure just a few green, brown and champagne accents should work well.

Good deal. Im going to try to buy them during lunch. We''ll see how that goes . Im hoping that if I ooze some clear glue over the top of it all that it will help seal them so nothing falls off.

I just gave up. The names were pretty unique as I doubt anyone has posted "ameshoeprojectpurplebefore" on here before. And I know they were correctly sized, I made them the very same as all the other stuff I posted. Oh well.

I really liked them w/just the pastels, but then, I am a pastel loving girl, so I''m a bit partial... w/the greens and browns(?) it looks a bit busy for me. but from far away (ie if no one is staring at your feet) i dont think it would matter... have you tried it w/your dress yet? either way, they''re much more fun than before!

Can you give us a shot from a distance away, like the first picture you posted? I think the other colors won''t be as noticeable, yet still look good with the dress, from farther away.
