So every once in a while I watch this jewelry seller on tv.
Today they are offering LGD, 2.0 carats and 5.0 carats, multiple shapes (round, emerald, marquis, oval) all for same price regardless of cut.
They say it is IGI graded, G VS2.
2 carats for $787
5 carats for $1997
Now I know that IGI is not as tough on grading as GIA or AGS, but these seem like crazy prices.
It is for the loose diamond, not set.
Wife already has an ER, wondering about a pendant in time for Valentine’s Day.
What am I missing here?

In the lab diamond world g/vs2 are not a target market(D vvs is target) so they cost less. Many will be treated cvd in the lowest price range.

Low demand... low prices.
Some will be nice and some fish tank gravel.

I modified your words a bit to make it a perfect quote...wanted to give you credit since I'll be citing this a LOT in the future.

Any other comments?

No experience with shoplc, but clean IGI graded HPHT H&A colorless rounds can be found for around 1k for 2ct and 2k for 4ct.

Bought my asschers around that price point last year too, but well cut fancy cuts are harder to find.

Thanks 0-0-0.
These are G, VS2, IGI graded, 5 carats for either oval, emerald, marquise, or pear.
I am trying to figure out if a good buy. Was thinking of making it into a pendant for the bride. Price: $1997.

I would only consider buying fancy cuts after seeing 360 videos and the individual reports, neither of which shoplc appears to offer.

They offer a 30-day return and I can pay with 5 equal installments, no interest, so if I don't like it I am only initially until refund out 1/5th of the payment.
Somehow a little voice in my head says this is too good to be true......

Frankly the pricing isn’t good enough to buy without more info. Alex Park posts many options with similar pricing.

What does the community think of this one:
5.04 / F / VS1
$2,668 less 30% =$1,867.60
Much better pice than ShopLC and higher color and clarity.
When you click on link, you can see video of stone.
What do you think?
thanks

It's listed for just under $1300 at another popular online seller. For the price, it's worth laying hands and eyes on in your own everyday viewing environments then decide if you want to keep it or return it before the refund window closes.

Yes indeed - here you go!

You are right, for that price I went ahead and ordered it and see what it looks like. If I like it, will become a pendant for my wife. Not sure it will all be done by V-Day.

Who would be a good vendor to do a simple solitaire pendant?
