Label me whatever you wish, if it makes you feel better at the end of the day. Frankly I''m not sure what party affiliation has to do with truth.

Hey, gotta pigeonhole people so you can know who is "us" and who is "them".

It''s that bumper sticker/football mentality writ large.

Thanks!!!

No problem. Apparently BF''s Stats background and thirst for data is beginning to rub off on me.

Well, by all I read this morning, she will not throw in the towel. Apparently hanging around Bushland has had it's inevitable effect: denial of the reality in front of your face becomes a way of life....

Seriously! I was listening to her deluded speech last night (karen, you''re spot on, she''s exactly like the Bush Cheney denial machine...)and wondered if she thinks hanging in until the last minute will secure her at least a VP nom. And then I thought about how much she''s alienated and she''d be stupid to think her behavior would be rewarded. At least I hope it wouldn''t be.

WORD!!

She won't get a VP nod. I would be SHOCKED if she did, because I think she's really irritated Obama recently. He hasn't been talking about her or anything, but there are little signs in his speeches and stuff.

What the heck is going on in FL? Why are they both there right now?

Obama has never campaigned in Florida this year so he is doing so in preparation for the general election.
For Clinton it is an attempt to push the primary votes issue and gain delegate votes.

Is anyone else watching Hillary''s speech in Florida right now?

I feel sorry for her. She''s totally in denial and giving the FL residents false hope. It wouldn''t be fair to have those votes counted because his name was removed from the ballot, yet hers wasn''t.

This is going to cause drama like "hanging chads" did, isn''t it?

I really wish someone would tell her to drop this. Let Howard Dean deal with it. I guess she''s doing it because without those votes, there is no way she can win. But in doing so, she''s probably p-ing off Barack even more and getting herself written off as VP even more. Plus, why would Barack even want 2 VPs? One being a former president?

Does anyone else see it this way?

There is a difference of 185, favoring Obama.

Obama is now 64 delegates away from the nomination. Clinton is now 249 delegates away from the nomination.

Carter on Clinton as VP

Even if people think he''s the worst president ever-he''s still been in politics a long long time, and knows his stuff.

I have to agree with him on this topic.

Ok. I'm bored and watching CNN.

Clinton is $20 mil in debt now.

So I went on the internet and did some Florida & Michigan delegate research...

Reminder: 2,026 needed to win

Florida has 210 total delegates.
Clinton got 50% of the votes. =105 delegates
Obama got 33% of the votes. =69 delegates
Edwards got 14% of the votes. =29 delegates

Michigan has 157 total delegates.
Clinton got 55% of the votes. =86 delegates
Uncommited had 40% of the votes. =63 delegates
Kucinich got 4% of the votes. =6 delegates
Gravel for 0% of the votes. =0 delegates

Clinton would get 105 delegates from Florida.
Obama would get 69 delegates from Florida.
Clinton would get 86 delegates from Michigan.

Totals from these votes:
Clinton: 1,968
Obama: 2,031

Which would result in Obama winning the nomination, without Michigan at all.

Obama was not on the Ballot in Michigan, but it could be assumed that he would garner most if not all of the 40% uncommitted voters, as well as Edward's 14% from Florida.

If that were the case the delegates would end up more like this:
Clinton: 1,968
Obama: 2,123

Also, leaving Clinton still high and dry, with Obama still winning the nomination.

I think she needs to stop petitioning for Florida and Michigan according to these numbers. The ONLY way she would win is if all of the 367 votes from both states were awarded to her-which would NOT happen. That would bring her total to 2,144. Again, not fair to Obama, or the people who voted for him (and the others) and this scenario would not be possible.

Has anyone clued her into the math?!?! She can't win anymore unless they totally screw over everyone else!

She''s either the Terminator or a cockroach. Which is less appealing?

I forgot to add that there are still super delegates out there that are probably going to go for Obama (If they know whats good for them anyway! The popular vote seems to have spoken.) So that gives him THAT many more.

I don''t get why she''s still running. Any thoughts Moon? Besides Terminator or Cockroach-which are totally possibilities BTW.

She''s got a 20 million dollar debt to erase? She wants to be positioned for another try in 2012, and doesn''t want to be seen as a quitter so she can use that next go-round? She''s bad at math? Bill is egging her on because he wants free 24 hour room service?

^^ what she said. Seriously, there are so many possibilities. I think she just really wants to win and if not be VP or Senate majority leader. I really think she miss her calling, which was a position in the Bush Administration.

oh, i think this is sooooooo right on!!!!!!! she was a young republican in college.........

movie zombie

WTH? So now she''s expecting Obama to be assassinated?!

link

Well, not quite, but it sure seems like she thought that...

Yeah, she''s a nutcase. Lawyers and politicians tend to analyze words more than the average person. She can''t possibly claim she didn''t know what her words would imply. But hey, maybe she was sleep deprived again.

Obama is 57 away from the nomination and Clinton is 247 away. That is a difference of 190 delegates.

Beginning of the end perhaps?
