Should I pull the trigger on this diamond?

Hi, very interested in this diamond as it fits within my partners narrow parameters. She wants an eye-clean diamond, without a feather or knot - so I have gone for a VS1 which I would expect to be 100% eye clean. This is an AGS 0 (not h&a), I don't think there is much point getting h&a but I know this is another topic, so long as the optics are still excellent (it resembles the arrows to an extent anyway).

round brilliant

measurements;
5.08 - 5.12 x 3.15 (0.5 carat weight)

cut grade 0
light performance 0
polish 0
symmetry 0

clarity VS1
0.5

no FL
laser inscribed
HCA 0.8
I'm not sure what image it is that AGS use in their clarity reports or how good this one is - I think it is decent but could be better from what I can tell.

Hopefully this diamond hasn't sold by the time I wake up in the morning, I don't like to buy without thinking it over first  (plus awaiting for feedback of course!).

Thanks for any input.

Decided to place a hold on it, here's the link to the diamond sale page:

Due to living in the UK I don't want the hassle of returning it so that is why I am going higher on the clarity to ensure it is eye-clean.

Edit: The pricescope discount was $70, I think this sounds about right considering it's a fairly cheap stone in comparison to what a lot of you get - am I right in thinking this? $1880-$1810.

Placed a second on hold for you to help me compare. This is bigger but lower clarity and much better colour, the colour is higher than necessary but I don't mind paying a little extra since it has everything else I want and I can't find it all in an F. The hearts look a little off to me but please take a look and see what you think to both, the price difference isn't important to me but I obviously want the stone to be a good performer. The second doesn't have a laser inscription but I am not too worried about that as I should be able to use the AGS clarity plot to check no jeweller switches it when getting it cleaned.

I'll take either one!

:D thanks for replying. I hope there are no issues with the postage to England, I doubt it with JA's good rep :). I take it you agree the second should be eye clean? I think the prices seem fair for them both.

Edit: discount on the second was $50, I had hoped it would be more considering the higher discount on the first cheaper stone but I am sure they have their reasons. Not sure if it is worth trying to talk them down, can't hurt I suppose lol.

I agree with the above, I think both look nice and both have good cut so should look great :)

If you post up your experiences with importing then that would be great, I need to do the same myself! VAT at 20% on top of the shipped price is all you should pay, I think, but I'm not sure if you will have to pay that before it can be released from customs or whether they will deliver then invoice you.

Is it being sent via FedEx?

I have just had a thought, actually, that I can't remember if you can pay import charges on credit card or not, which I better look into... :? lol

Yeah it is 20% for a loose stone, another 2.5% if it were set in jewellery (for the mount+stone). So I think I am just going to go with stone only. I will let you know how I get on with it. It is being shipped with FedEx, I am not sure if they'll hold it or deliver and then invoice either. Thanks for replying.
