Thanks very much, that’s great you have the option to wear it at 15 or 16”. I am so tempted to get a similar size pendant now :twisted2:

Thanks for all your help ladies.

I ended up purchasing a 0.41 ct semi custom platinum Martini pendant on free floating chain from Whiteflash. It arrived today.AD633CE3-649F-4BFD-A229-AD052BCA8BE7.jpeg

Yay! Perfect choice. Looks great on you.

I just bought a 0.3ct 4.3mm G stone. I have a huge neck, so it looks small. But it sparkles nicely. I think it depends on the look you are after. And how big your neck is! Showing it with my 10mm peach zircon. Diamond is at 18inches, zircon is at 20.5 inches. 20201231_232622.jpg

I love this setting @737lizakg! Who made this piece for you?

Congrats! "Free floating" meaning it slides?

@alltheflorals yes it slides. I thought you would also be able to take the chain off and thread another one through (eg to change colours - so I might have a rose gold chain sometimes) but I have just noticed that this is not possible. Still very happy with it though.

diamond pendants.jpg

The one on the upper left is a .53ct H
Top middle is a .30 D (set in RG)
Top right is a .53 F Pear
Bottom left is a 1.04 K
Bottom right is a .24

All rounds are H&A stones, and set either in Platinum or Rose Gold.

The color difference between my .30 D and .24ct H are impossible for me to see in that size. I think the biggest factor in how "white" they look is the setting.
The .53 F pear looks the "iciest" (is that a word? ) but that's more due to the cut I'm guessing.
Since they're all graded by either GIA or AGS, the colors are correct.

@elle_chris sigh, you have the most perfect collection and I am pea green with envy!

Thanks! It is just the blue nile petite bail necklace setting. It was cheap and dainty, which is what I wanted. However, it doesn't slide over the clasp, so I find that it ends up off center as it gets pushed to the side as the clasp migrates around.

@CMN That looks great. Perfect size on you. Lovely.

I know what you mean about wanting to switch out chains. My stationary ones obviously don't either. That was the reason I just bit the bullet and had it made in RG.

Ohh would you mind showing a closer view of what the back looks like? I looked at so many examples here and it seemed like only bezels would slide but prong would have to be fixed! Glad to hear there's an option in between!

Hi All,

So I have now discovered the complaints about the difficulty of taking photos of diamonds are real - =)2

I have done my best. I found it was actually easier for the camera to focus with a white background. Not sure why that is???

I believe this is 32 points, bezel set on a larger disc. It was made by a jeweler in Australia.

Whoops - I just realized your pendant has arrived. I'm going to leave this post here, tho, for anyone else who might be looking.

Congratulations on your new pendant, @CMN - it's lovely!

It's lovely and such a pretty setting. The size if perfect also, the same as I just purchased for my daughter except it's in a bezel slide. (see the post)

I wonder why on a stationary chain, the two prongs are on top, while on a sliding chain, they're on the bottom.
Curious if there's a reason as to why the placement of the pendant is different?

Either way, the 3 prong is my fave setting for a pendant. Love it.
