As close as I could find to my original 1979 set. 14kt yellow brushed gold with .35 diamond. No idea the specs.

My original set was a marquise solitaire with a custom wrap. Someone else had the wrap made, but it wasn’t to their standards so they wouldn’t take it. It was good enough for me, so I bought it! I also wore just the solitaire with a thick gold band.

My mom’s ring she had made with my grandmother’s diamonds sometime in the 80s. 18k yellow gold.

This is my original wedding band, I got married in 1984 however the band along with a matching one for my hubby was purchased used from my cousin..I think she actually got them in the 1970's, it is 14K two tone gold and 5 or 6mm wide, my e-ring started out as a small band of rubies and diamonds (very poorly cut) then hubby got me a small .18 ct diamond when I was pregnant with my first child in 1985 and I had the diamond and the other band merged into this ring in the very early 1990's, I have long ago had the little diamond reset, this ring is in need of major overhaul it can be worn with a stone in it but eventually I think I would like to put a small CZ in it or something...I dont know yet.

Here’s mine...I recently upgraded my stone to ACA WF for my big anniversary in my original ering. My original diamond was a poorly cut .83 ct round and I’m glad my hubs said I could upgrade. I don’t normally stack with the other bands. It’s 14k and if I get her reset into a different setting, I will get 18k because I now prefer a more buttery look!

I'm loving this thread! I'll have to dig out my original setting, though it looks a lot like aprilbaby's, with a polished band.
I reset my stone from yellow to white gold in 2009, for our 20th anniversary now I'm seriously thinking about going back to yellow for our 30th.
