Show Me Your Asscher Eternity/Anniversary Bands!

I did a little investigating and found this - http://www.nationaljeweler.com/diam...-royal-asscher-launches-loose-diamond-program

Only diamonds over .75 are sold loose by RA, and even then only in limited numbers. I think if you're heart is set on RA you will have to either buy a pre-made ring or look for perhaps the long term for something pre-owned.

That was what I feared....
I may have to go with Asschers (not Square Emeralds), and forego RA's due to this issue. I anticipated this venture to be difficult. I'm not pushing the envelope, and forcing the impossible. Asschers are a must, for this project, and I'm ok, if they aren't RA's.
Thank you for sharing your info, @scarsmum!!! :kiss2:

Loving the photos & all of the info being posted!! All of the pieces are stunning, and are making my mouth water!! I'll keep you all posted, along the journey. Please keep sharing!!! It's helpful to see these bands on the hand to get a mental image of area & space, depending on size...

Wowser @canuk-gal - just stunning and the boulder ER's not too shoddy either

Thanks! I sold the ER in 2015--but kept the eternity ring. (FWIW--that was a terrible photo of the ER)

cheers--Sharon

Hey @Matthews1127, did you see the asschers that @diagem is cutting? ;-)

@OoohShiny, just an update:
l followed your advice, and reached out to Yoram! He is amazing, and within a week, he found a beautiful suite of 7 vintage, Art Deco style Asscher diamonds in the exact size, color and clarity l was searching for! They even have the old-school Kozibe effect!!! l am beyond excited!!!
Thank you so much for the recommendation!
l’ll share more, after we square away the details & l make the purchase! If you go to his IG, he posted the 7 stones, so l could see them! They are beautiful!!!

Keep sharing away, everyone!! Love seeing all the Asscher cut bands!!
Hoping to add an Anniversary Band to my left hand, next week; our Anniversary is Monday!!! l’ll be certain to post, somewhere on PS, if l do!!! ;)2

@whitewave, l almost fell over, when l saw them! He sent me an aerial view of them, lined up, via email. My mouth dropped; they are just so amazing!
He graded them: 1:1 l x w ratio, 3.45-3.50mm squared, F/G/H color VS+ clarity. They look like they were cut exactly alike, and they are so crisp, it’s insane! l’m dying to see them in person!!
l never would have found them, or Yoram, without help from fellow PSers. l’m extremely grateful to everyone for their help & advice!!
Happy Thanksgiving!

I wondered if these were for you! I meant to post it in case they weren't and were just up for sale but I've been travelling so forgot to. I'm so glad these are yours!! How will you set them? I am another fan of acaw2015's triangular prongs - love how they accentuate those gorgeous clipped corners

l’m in love with u-prong settings. l also admire the triangular prongs on acaw2015’s setting. l wonder if l could do both? U-prong style, with triangulated prongs along the corners? l’ll have to discuss that option, when the time comes. For now, l’m just super excited about the Asschers...lol!!

This sounds amazing, can’t wait to see the final ring!

I saw these on Yoram's IG and ogled them for a good long while, lol. So glad they're going to a PSer. They are amazing!

I have a lot of respect for Yoram as a cutter. It's good to know he is a nice person, too! Will you have them sent to you loose? Or are they on their way to be set in your ring?

They will be shipped loose. My local jeweler will build the setting with me. This is my first bespoke project, so these are extremely special to me. :mrgreen2:

Enjoy the bespoke process -- it's stressful, but the results are worth it.
Please post photos when you get the stones!

Wow @Matthews1127 those are stunning! Can't wait to see this project:D

I’m looking forward to putting this in motion. l reached out to my jeweler, this morning, and e-mailed her the photos Yoram shared with me. As soon as l return from our trip, l’ll set things in motion with Yoram. Once l have the stones, l’ll take them to my jeweler, and go from there. l have some more ideas & questions to ask. She’ll be able to get more difinitive answers with the diamonds as a reference.
I’m just thrilled to finish step one! This search has been difficult, but Yoram has made this smooth...

Absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Love it!!!

A little Pinterest inspiration for my design. My band will be approx. 3/4 Eternity with milgrain detail, but I am considering adding pave/melee around the remainder of the Band, instead of engraving it. I have a feeling I’ll engrave it to match my set; I just adore that design. However, it would be fun to do something a little different, too!
I’d also like to taper the open metal band, for stackable comfort, around the back. The diamonds are 3.45-3.50mm diameter, squared, so the top of the band will be thicker, and I’d like the shank to be tapered down to about 2.0mm-2.5mm.
All of these details must be discussed, and confirmed, but that’s my thought process....
Opinions & thoughts pertaining to all of this are welcome; I’m open to any experienced members’ advice, as this is my first bespoke project, and I like to be informed.

This project is all about our marriage, our family, and the life we have built, together; it will be one of the most sentimental pieces I own. I am going to enjoy every aspect of building this piece!
:mrgreen2:

Hmmm... If it was me (and bearing in mind I am of the male of the species and like 'chunky', 'uncluttered' things) I think I'd be inclined to steer away from melee - in my mind it would distract/detract from Yoram/his team's craftsmanship.

I don't those amazing asschers need any accompaniment - like a good steak, they should be served rare and unsullied by unnecessary additions! :D

Anyone can have meleé, but only a few people have gemconcept stones ;-)

I'm thinking, instead, that you could have two 'rings'/circles of platinum and then the stones suspended within it - something like this, but with stones more of the way round and some working out to see exactly how they might be held while still retaining the simple 'rings' design. Would it stack? Er, I don't know... but maximising the showing-off of the stones would be my main goal :)

Anyway, that's just my random thoughts, and I think my hastily scribbled idea is very likely too masculine and also unbuildable  - feel free to ignore as required, I won't be offended :) lol

Actually, that tapered look is precisely what I was thinking...just in u-prong fashion, with open gallery/profile for maximum light exposure/return! I am on the side of agreeing with you; less, in this case, is more. I believe adding the milgrain edge & scroll detail will be a perfect, added touch to the set.
I do love the tiny diamonds at the curve of each “u” in the photo, above. Very delicate, and adds a little sparkle to the profile, but doesn’t distract from the main attraction.

@OoohShiny,
I just received confirmation that my parcel is scheduled to arrive, tomorrow!!! :eek2:
I am going to pass out!!!
