I thought it would be nice to have a thread where we can share our settings from CaiMao Jewelry and their eBay stores leejewelry, jewelryhoo, jewelryhoo2 and changxingjewelry .

I have several that I have purchased over the years from Kyo at jewelryhoo2. I always given him my stone measurements to make the custom setting, then have the stone set locally by my jeweler.
Here is my 7.8mm trillion tourmaline from Josh at RiouxRocks set in a flower ring.

I have not used any of these eBay vendors before, however, I am interested to hear about their work.

The ring is gorgeous, and it is probably my favourite setting for a trillion stone too. I have seen this setting listed by another eBay vendor that I use, namely diamondmounts.

why do they have four different stores via EBay?

Thank you! I have seen a lot of Ps'ers use them for settings over the years, so hopefully they'll come along and share pictures on this thread. I know I have more to add .
I'm not sure why they have four stores, maybe for better visability? At one point in time, they had different people running each store. I have mostly worked with Kyo through jewelryhoo2, and he can make any of the designs from the other stores, so I always check all four stores out see what designs they have to offer.

Jeweryhoo made my set for my OEC last year. I love it, and it was really affordable, so I won't feel guilty when I want another reset! It is platinum and 18k.

Thank you! The OEC is O-P color, so I wanted some yellow gold accents to have the color blend.

@icy_jade I have never sent him my stones to be set, but I think others may have. I worry too much about loosing stones in international transit. I give him all of the measurements of the center stone so he can make the custom setting and then have the center stone set locally. The stones have always fit perfectly. I have never been charged a customs fee (I’m in the US), but I haven’t ordered anything for a year or so, so I’m not sure if things would be different now regarding taxes.

I mailed everything for my ring, I paid extra for priority international shipping (5 business days) and also prayed. In my case I was having a bunch of melee set and the cost of setting it in the US would be high, but it was also much cheaper for me to buy the ideal-cut diamonds myself from K Rosengart vs. buying from CaiMao. So it was a risk but I took it. I would not mail a super expensive stone. I doubt that I will have to pay duties when it comes back, but the US has more liberal import policies than a lot of other countries.

@icy_jade I‘m not sure if they use moissy, but please let me know if you find out . I’ve only had settings made by them with with small pave diamonds. One thing I should also mention is that I usually upgrade the diamonds to their best quality (for a very reasonable cost).
I love your green beryl and can’t wait to see how you set it!

There is moissanite in their AliExpress store, so it's worth a question if they can source the exact sides you are looking for. You could also have a Chinese moissanite vendor mail the stones directly to CaiMao.

Another thing I forgot to mention is that for my MIL's ring, I sent them an old 5-stone diamond ring so they could take the stones out, and they did give me scrap value towards the new setting a aboutt 90% of spot price. That is lower than I could get with a specialized melt dealer but it was super convenient since I needed the stones removed from the ring by them anyway.

These are all Barry B stones set in their stock settings. The spess in the center has upgraded diamonds, but the others have their standard diamonds (I purchased those before I realized upgrading diamonds was an option). These were all very budget friendly settings and are some of the first settings I purchased when I started collecting colored stones.
