Hello pricescope members,
I am considering this ring:
Brian Gavin Gina 3/4 eternity setting--
http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/engagement-rings/pave-and-side-stones/gina-18k-white-gold-5587w18

Everyone seems to prefer pave over channel set, but I like the idea of the smaller diamonds being very secure, and I love the clean lines of channel set, hoping it is just as sparkly as pave.

I would love to see what types of channel settings are out there and if you are happy with them!
thanks, KL

I wear a channel set 3/4 eternity band. The ring you posted is gorgeous! Here's my set.

My set is very old, but nothing has ever happened to the stones.

I have the super skinny (like 2mm) eternity from Facets. I LOVE it!
Here is how I normally wear it:

Another Option:
cartier_eternity_and_scattered.jpg

I don't have any by it's self because it's too tiny for my hands all alone. On my sister's hand it looked great, however her fingers are shorter than mine and I have a lot of stacking room. See:

sausage_finger.jpg

This is only for PS shot, as it's too wide to wear normally. :loopy:

I love channel set because of the security. I'm currently looking for a Sapphire princess/french cut band to add to my stack, but must wait for more funds....story of my life

Here's my 2mm Tiffany.

You know I love your set, Ame!

Here's mine. It's half-eternity and spins all the time, which bugs me.

I like channel-set bands too as they seem sturdier and there's no chance of snagging like there sometimes is with pave.

Here's my mokume-gane wedding band with 28 channel set half pointers.

That's a lovely ring you've picked out!

Before I went e-ring shopping, I thought I didn't like channel sets however once I tried them on, I love them. My preference is for a more delicate look, milgrain helps with that, imo.

THIS IS SO COOL. Do you have a thread on this? I must see more!

If other shapes are welcome in the thread ... I'll be back with some shots of my carre band and my various french-cut bands. :naughty:

maccers - HOW did I miss your wedding band thread?!

Having seen MGR's set in person, I can attest to its stunning beauty, and by God, that Tiffany band is so comfortable to wear!

My wedding set from my previous marriage were channel set. They did have a lot of sparkle! They could also go in the ultrasonic so they stayed cleaner than my current set which is pave.

Thank you!, It is not an eternity. It is 4.2 mm wide and sit high because it s boxy, so it is very substantial!

Ahem, you need one! I love her set too so I'm jealous you've seen it in person! I kinda need to see your three stone with the upgrade in person again, I loved your set before and I bet it's pretty amazing now! Too bad I don't wear the same ring size....

Thanks ladies for sharing mine! I would have never thought I was a channel set girl until I tried this one on! It is comfortable, blingy and has no snagging issues as those of you with channel set bands know. I've never regretted this choice! Ame and Logan Sapphire have equally beautiful sets too with their channel set bands! I think it is very versatile and adds just the right amount of bling to many different erings!

Nope none!!! My ering is a different story...

It is very versatile. Some days I wish I'd gone full eternity but others I'm glad I didn't. But the Tiffany bands are like buttah!

So agree! They can make a very beautiful, comfortable band. No big gaps between stones - that's what makes the biggest difference in appearance IMO!

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to reply! Life has gotten busy. I love all of the channel sets, and I want to thank you all for your kind replies! I especially love the delicate channel set, and the ability to place it in an ultrasonic cleaner. There are spme beautiful rocks here on pricescope. This helps with the search!
