no pictures but we've been watching the Borgias w/Jeremy Irons and I have been LUSTING BIG TIME over the pearl earrings in each and every episode!

I can't really tell from the photo, but they look like small beads... probably diamonds?

Thanks ennui. My guess is they are gold bezeled diamonds, but I can't see them well either. I have a dangle 11-12mm FW in YG chain (1.5 inch total length), and the "normal" chain makes swing a lot, I think her style (on top of being gorgeous, of course) avoids the excessive swinging. I saw PoJ has what might be a somewhat similar setting, but quite shorter:

I have a couple of pairs of earrings in that style, too ... I suspect it's the weight of the pearl that contributes to the swinging. One pair only has 1/2" of chain, but the pearls are 11mm, and they bob.

It looks like the chain is a row of 9 diamonds. Gorgeous earrings.

I saw those pearl and crystal ball earrings on one of the shopping channels-HSN or QVC this week. It was Honora and they were selling for $100 and sold out right away. I am not a home shopper but saw as I was channel surfing.

Just watched The King's Speech, and loved the two graduated strands worn by Queen Elizabeth (Helena Bonham Carter).

Any guesses on the lengths? I think Helena is a delicate woman, so the shorter is probably 16" ... would the longer be 20"? They were often twisted together at the sides.

Frances McDormand was wearing her Tahitian ropes again. They must be her own. She wore them tripled this time. And she won the award for Olive Kitteridge.
