LynnB: You know, I was thinking cushion in part because in the J color range it is about half the price of a RB in the J range (e.g., 1.62ct J color VS1 = $5400 ideal cut cushion on ERD vs $9800 ACA RB on WF), and I crave a diamond in the 1.5ct range. Also I really loooooove the vintage look of the chunky facets in a cushion. But since looking around and learning that a J cushion doesn't look as good as a J RB (less sparkle = less color masking), I am thinking my cushion craving might have to wait... I want a larger cushion (1.5ct+) cuz I think they look best in those sizes, but if H is the lowest to go with cushions without seeing too much color, then I can't really afford that for a few years... On the other hand, I COULD afford in the near future a perfectly cut, eye-clean RB in a gorgeous J, maybe just under a carat, and then I can work my way up! There's a PSer named "never ending upgrage," that may be me and I try to reach my dream of a 2ct. stone!
canuk-gal: hey fellow canuk! I's a transplanted vancouverite living in Ontario now! And gorgeous earings and necklace.... I can't tell which is which at all! Is it easier to tell in person? I heard pictures make all stone look "white"?
