I would hazard a guess that these might be older than you think - one of my graduated strands has the exact same clasp and was dated to 1947.Date: 4/26/2009 3:48:15 AM

Interesting. What does the other side of the clasp look like?
Yeah, you may be right. I''ve seen a lot of them on ebay with this clasp are from the 40s and 50s. I just don''t know when mikimoto discontinue this design.Date: 4/30/2009 6:07:14 PM

A lovely pearl and white metal necklace, there are hallmarks on the back of one of the ''leaves'' but they are too small for me to read without a magnifying glass. The clasp is missing, but it is in a Mikimoto box with certificate, so I have no reason to believe it isn''t Mikimoto. I need to take it to a jeweler to have the clasp replaced, and I think it also had a safety chain.
As well as being very pretty, these two things have great sentimental value to my husband and I.
I love the South Sea pearls. They look so satiny and silvery.Date: 5/4/2009 6:10:35 AM

Gorgeous pearls everyone! Here are mine..........
ACK!!!! Not only do you have gorgeous gemstones, you have gorgeous pearls too. They are beautiful Michelle, love love love them.
I've tried sooo hard to stay out of this forum as i don't need another obsession. Alas, I failed.
Pearls were actually my frist love, way before diamonds. So in the end, i caved and am now back to my original obsession!
First is the strand I was so unsure about. First thought I'd keep it, then return, then decided to give them to my sister-in-law. As is stands now I'm keeping it because i love the color.
