Show me your rounds with tapered baguettes

hi Everyone,

Wondering if anyone here has a round brilliant center with tapered baguettes on each side. Also, please let me know finger size and size of center stone. I’m thinking of a redo.
I’ve attached a photo of a virtual try on. Granted the center stone in the picture is bigger than my current center stone 1.54ct.

My avatar is a 1.58 ct H / vs2 middle and 0.23 ct each tb’s. I am in the wait for my new ring (same style) with 2.66 ct center CBI from HPD, and the same baguettes... I started a thread looking for setting ideas that may help:

Ps... when I get my old setting back, I hope in the next few weeks, I will have the platinum Leon Mege setting for sale for *cheap* and our stones are about the same size... there is prong wear (cosmetic not structural) that would need repair but a good jeweler should be able to pull that off easily. And it is 8 3/4 so it would need sizing for you.

Hi @Morenita21, my 1.58 was 7.58-7.61 x 4.53 mm. I posted some pics on that link I sent you. I don’t have many! I am not a habitual jewel photo taker. I don’t have any of the prong abrasion.

Here is my mom's ER. She has an arthritic shank on this ring.



Here it is on my hand which is a 5.75/6 and I am blanking on the size of her MRB OMG. I *think* it's 3.5 or 4 carats.
Before my mom's RA and osteoarthritis her finger size was like a 3.75. I know because I had to resize her (now mine) black opal.

Wow! Beautiful! I love your ering and the way you stack it with the bands. Where did you get your ring from? I ordered a cheap cz silver one to see if I like the style first. I have chubbier fingers and I’m not sure it will look good. I think if I had a larger stone it wouldn’t be an issue.

Ty. This is one of my many settings. My stone is no longer set in it but I kept the setting bc sooner or later I plan to go back to it. It was a semi custom setting. I have a bench who can tweak most any setting. Have you checked eBay? I see this style a lot. My setting is 6 prong but I do see the 4 prong basket a lot on eBay.
I love your current setting. Is there any reason for your swap? I hope you don’t catch Nala-itis. Lol

I do love my setting but for some reason I miss having a solitaire too. Maybe I will buy the setting and put a Moissanite in it until I am fully sure of my decision. If it’s size you are after, your current setting is the better choice. I’ll tell you about me. I don’t necessarily reset for any other reason than I can. Lol. I love to see my diamond in different dresses. I have several Jewelers. Some trade up, some do simple exchanges and some settings i just keep for a future itch. On the down side, the majority of my settings are inexpensive by ps standards. I can’t commit to buying a designer setting bc I know that my eyes will wander within months. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. But if you are craving a bigger diamond maybe stay put. And invest the money of the setting into a diamond upgrade fund. You will be there in no time!

Yes, I have a ton of rings and necklaces, bracelets, earrings, but I’m truly a sucker for rings! I did pair down my bag collection when I upgraded my diamond earlier this year.

There wasn’t a day that she didn’t wear jewelry. She even had it on until she got to the hospital before she passed that they cut it off her. I inherited a few pieces too. Unfortunately, some of it was stolen (the really good pieces).

Beautiful ring! I love OEC with this setting. That would be my dream. That is why I am considering doing it moissanite because I could not afford to have two massive diamonds. Also, I had a OEC Solitaire and it looked really legit. Sold it though.
This brings me back to my original idea of getting it done in moissanite and use it as a travel ring. Ughh!!! I’m so indecisive!

Awww. So sweet that she loved jewelry til the end. And super sad that it was stolen.
I hope you decide what to do about your reset. One thing I’ve learned here on ps is that usually when we post a thread, we are already half way to there. Lol. So maybe post a thread on upgrading your stone instead and that might distract you from the reset.
