I'm having a hard time pinning down what I like about each setting, so your examples helped.

@HappyNewLife Those settings of yours helped convince me towards yellow gold!

Sorry for attaching so many pics, but here is mine (inspired by @yssie 's work of art), but on a much smaller budget and therefore not hand forget or anywhere near as delicate/artistic, etc.

But I was thrilled with how it turned out, and was happy with the milgrain detail. Just another one for inspiration!

Oh neat that’s my ring!
The center is .9ct, with .5 and .25 sides. I had it made by a local bench with CAD and it was under 1k for the design, creation, and setting.
