Show us your Antique/Vintage and Reproduction Rings!

Here’s a CvB, Sako and Dr_D collaborative design:

My only real contribution was the shank design with the French cuts & external claw prongs :p

The main ring features an antique OEC (1.48ct J) with a crazy tall crown and French cut calibre sets (F color) cut by Sako’s Dad (The Gem Doctor).

The accent band features antique single-cut diamonds and tsavorite cut in the same antique style (also from The Gem Doctor):

Gorgeous! I love the 2-tone!

OMG the detail! Just the setting on the center stone, beautiful work. And the french cuts !! I suspect you understate your contribution.

Thank you! I wanted to play up the warmth of the J color with 18k and create more contrast between it and the icy white French cuts in platinum.

Awww! Thank you!

When you’re working with the team like Caysie and Sako, the results are bound to be extraordinary.

Yes, maybe I had a few ideas about how to pull this one together, but it was really Sako who had to interpret those ideas and executed them in such a beautiful manner.

Mr Sako is the best! Your collaboration with him and Caysie turned out spectacular.

Been busy the last few weeks, with all the sales! I am slowly swimming toward ban island, but then I see another thing that catches my eye :lol-2:

I went to the NY Antique Jewelry & Object show last week and picked up this vintage black opal filigree ring in 10k YG:

Acquired a french cut Emerald platinum eternity (repro) from Lancastrian Jewellers (among other things). Also just received an antique platinum band with 5 single cut diamonds and floral engraving from That Vintage Sparkle.

Bought some other antique items (opal crescent brooch, moonstone pendant and converted OEC dangle earrings) that I haven't had a chance to post yet either! Maybe I'll do an end of year recap post

That opal is incredible! It looks like nature’s depiction of plant earth as viewed from space. The color resemblance is uncanny!

The opal was one of those pieces that made me do a double take and turn around. It was just so bright and the setting was cute (and reasonably priced), so I had to have it. I love just staring at it in different lighting :mrgreen2:

I think the picture makes it look like a deeper shade of green than what I see with my eyes, but I love the mix of the tone & saturation and it never goes dark. I need to take more pictures of it!

Oh please do! These new treasures are gorgeous!
Thank you =)2 I have been too busy with life and the holidays lately, but eventually I'll pull them all out at once and do a photo shoot.

I definitely need to stop shopping for myself and start working on the Christmas list lol

My new antique sapphire, diamond and platinum ring. Love these winter beautiful blue and flashes in different lighting. My first sapphire cab. Pictures don’t do the stone justice. image.jpgimage.jpg

Thank you! The setting is very delicate. Loved the whole look. Debated for a while, as I don’t need another piece of jewelry, but couldn’t resist. Particularly drawn to antiques.
