But what do you do with it when you grow up ?
i wss inspired to ask this because on the 'Ring family on one hand' thread is a picture in a post i now can't find of a lovely lady's gold caladan ring from when she was 3 (i will go back and find your post)
i have a silver signet ring i was thinking of getting resized to my pinky as a test as i don't know what the jewler is like here in my new town. My sister and i both received them when she was 6
i have an 18K baby brooch, and a locket from Christmas when i was 5

Do you still have your's ? (lets see them)

What do you plan to do with them? Maybe you already converted it into something that you wear ? Lest see it

What pieces have you gifted ?

I imamgine babies who were christened and girls who had their confirmations must have quite a few little pieces gifted from close relatives so that alone makes these pieces quite sentimental




anyway so this stuff just rattles around in the bottom of the jewlery box being neglected and damaged, i can't even find the locket but i remember coming across it when we were packing to move so its safe in a carton somewhere ???

im planning on getting this put on a chain to make a bar necklase

the silver ring still fitted in High school
im hoping once its resized it doesn't look too small and out of proportion for my fat little finger - it only just quite not fits
i hope the jewler is nice and doesn't say something insulting like its a dumb idea and cheaper to buy a new one (that's not the point)
i don't have any children and i expect its the kind of thing that would just get thrown out if i snuff it tomorrow so i might as well repurpose it for myself now

I had these 2 sterling silver charms on a baby bracelet until I grew out of it. The charms were saved and I have transferred them to each bracelet as my own collection has grown.
There are a couple of other ones I received from my Nana and my mum over the years too. It's very sentimental to me.
The fish and the elephant are super vintage lol

that is super pretty and of course such a great idea
i like these more classic kind of charm bracelets much more than those modern Pandora type ones
i adore that rose and the fish and elephant are beautiful

the little heart locket would look alot like mine except mine is so beaten up - i still want to find it mind you
