I have got all of my bridal party gifts, but have yet to even think about a gift for the shower hostesses (which are my bridal party). I feel so bad because I am having my first shower (lingerie shower) tomorrow and have not purchased a separate gift for this. Am I supposed to present her with it at the shower? And does anyone have any cute ideas? Would it be okay if I gave it to her later with a thank you card?

Don't sweat it - the hostesses of the shower should not be expecting a gift. I've thrown at least 4 bridal showers (I was in the wedding party for all of them), and have never recieved a gift for this from the bride! If you want to do so, it's a sweet gesture, but don't freak about not having it in time for the shower. Enjoy yourself...the party's for you!!!

Though I''m not sure of any tradition, I''d want to give her something (is it just one bridesmaid, or all of them?) for her troubles. Nothing expensive, just something sweet. A card would be wonderful!

there was a thread about this earlier too I think I''m not sure the name...

anyhoo - I worried about this too. In the end I just sent them all long thank you cards. Although I intend to get something more for them, bc they went ALL OUT for my bachelorette and bridal shower. I got my MOH a spa gift certificate for a massage and hot tub session w/her husband... that''s the only gift I got so far though. Still thinking about the others. I might get one a MAC gift card, I don''t know.

I was thinking about this too. I think I''m going to do Harry and David''s little gift baskets. I can order them before the showers but have them delivered after, and who doesn''t like yummy treats?

I was just thinking about this... I''ve never received a hostess gift when I''ve given a shower... But my MOH is flying from Salt Lake City to Tulsa, OK to give me a shower. I want to give her something special to thank her for going to so much trouble (not to mention the expense!) but haven''t come up with any great ideas yet...
