Signed Pieces or James Allen Mountings

Anyone have any experience with Signed Pieces new engagement ring mountings or with James Allen mountings? Every now and then I become obsessed with resetting my 1.25c emerald cut engagement ring into a new, yet simple setting (either tapered baguettes, step cut traps or trilliants) that is better made than my current one and it seems like both of them have some nice ones. Any other recommendations to feed my research frenzy would be appreciated.

I''m not sure which new SP mountings you''re referring to, but many people here have been very pleased with the overall quality of their products. Same can be said for James Allen. Perhaps you could post pics of the specific mountings you''re referring to??

Both companies have good reputations for their products as well as excellent customer service when things may not go right. If you can post pics or links to what you want we can better advice you of other potential options..

Thanks for the replies, ladies. These are some of the plain and simple platinum or white gold settings that I was contemplating. My current setting is a lot like the facets one with the trilliants but with dull, lifeless sidestones and in yellow gold with very rough workmanship (purchased way, way, WAY pre-PS). I like the general look of it and the way it "spreads" over the finger but my specific ring needs improvement.

On the other hand (quite literally), I will probably be wearing the engagement ring most frequently on my right hand as my left hand is now taken by a gorgeous 2.6c shared prong eternity ring with round stones that I received for my anniversary. Probably nothing (except a very large RB that exists only in my fantasy life) would look right paired with that so I am open to considering other emerald cut engagement ring settings that are a little less traditional. Here are two that I find interesting. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks!
