Hi there gemstone lovers. Care to share your blues? Blue is my favorite color and I can never get enough. Sadly I don't own that much blue in bling but that's the beauty of PS. You get to enjoy lots more beautiful pieces than if you weren't a PSer. So pretty please go ahead and sing the blues with me...

I'll start. My favorite pair of earrings. Antique sapphire diamond dangles.


Before I purchased them...



Had to turn around and get these babies. LOVE.



an aquamarine necklace I have. Very delicate IRL and lovely color.



a sapphire and aquamarine antique necklace I have. Not the best aquamarine but I still love this necklace. My dh bought it for me for my 40th over a decade ago. Wow time flies.


an aquamarine ring my dh bought me when we were visiting Rome. Again not the best quality aquamarine but I knew nothing about aquamarines in 2000 so it was a learning lesson. An expensive one.


a few blue rings I don't own but wish I did haha.

I just recently posted in SMTB and I don’t want to be overposting, but this is my sapphire ring by DKJ that I received for my 12th anniversary. There’s just something about blue, it makes me so happy.

Blue is my favorite color in general, but especially in gems. I love the way blues draw one into the color, as if one loses oneself in something larger than oneself. I think of storms, sky, water, deep space and dreams. Though I have ventured into loving gems in many colores, blues are always my first love.

Here are 2 aqua rings that are not mine but I love. I’m not crazy about the setting in the one with diamonds, but the stone is amazing. My favorite is the huge blue green one!

I am afraid I need an opal in my life as both my children are October babies. But I know nothing about this stone other than its pretty fragile. Need to go see some in person...

Thank you, Rubybrick! These are aquamarines in 22k. They are hard to photograph and this is a dull picture of the color, (very low light bedroom pic) but basically they have a clear blue with just a touch of green. The earrings are called ‘raw’ because they are only lightly polished, but the cabochon is polished and has a horse and star carved in the underside of the stone, which is completely backed and bezel set, so it’s like a little horse inside the stone. That’s why I HAD to have it! I got the earrings from the same jeweler after having the pendant, as a match, even though they are not exactly matching. Apparently, the artist who carved the horse died, so he was not available to make matching earrings.
