Hi Ladies! I''m at my mom''s where all the preparations are going great. Everyone is cheerful and upbeat and relaxed. We just finished the seating arrangements and FI and I are excited about introducing our friends to each other.
In other news, I tried on my dress with my big clunky white platform shoes for my mom. She looked concerned. I said "Is it really that bad?" and she said that yeah, it looked pretty much awful. SO, she took me to Valentino (oooh... I love it there. They make you feel like a princess!) and bought me these gorgeous strappy pale pink platform sandals. They are only 1/2 inch lower than the other ones, and they''re comfy and so elegant. And they look fab-oo with the dress. Plus, they match my summer wardrobe so I''ll get lots more use out of them I found a pic of them for you gals on the Neiman Marcus site:

So, no more shoe trauma! Plus, mom''s housekeeper thinks she can fix my gown so it sits lower. She''s also going to take off the straps. So I''m more comfy with the gown too. I just hope it doesn''t slip down too much. We''re trying to find that fabric-to-skim tape, but it''s not so easy here!
