Size 6.5 finger-Is a 1.5ct REALLY visually larger than 2.20ct?

Hey @jjca I did discuss raising the center with DK. The 1st CAD was set low as possible...then I had DK raise stones high enough for me the see the culets of all stones but had ctr set tad higher.

But recvd bad news yesterday and photos of the usps next day package that DK recvd.
I packed a box with my 5 stone, new 2.2ct round and pair of pear hoops..stuffed with paper so nothing moved or rattled, put box in padded ups envelope, then put additional padded envelope in usps 9x12 envelope usps next day air.with sig confirmation.
All that DK recvd was sealed usps envelope with one cut and empty ups padded envelope and the other padded envelope i.packed. my gems were gone.

So bad news is this project is on hold until claim is completed - i lost some beautiful pieces but its just things. Still hits me in the gut .

Oh my gosh I’m so sorry @ZestfullyBling ! That’s so horrible. I hope that the claim is processed quickly.

What a shock! It's so distressing to know that scumbags are figuring out what packages contain—and then stealing the contents. Well, if they try to sell the items, the PS posse will be on them. :angryfire:

Oh no, this is horrid news!! I'm so sorry! I hope insurance is easy to work with, and you have beautiful new bling on your hand in short order.
 
I am so very sorry @ZestfullyBling! I shipped a Rolex watch to Florida one time via UPS and it arrived empty. It was double boxed and they kept telling me the merchandise ‘fell out’. It didn’t fall out - the box was cut open! It was a second hand watch from my early days with Rolex watches and it was fully insured. It took me about 30 days to receive the refund. That is all well and fine but then you have to find replacement stones. Here’s hoping that in the end you end up with an even better ring than you imagined. I know how that sick to your stomach feeling feels and I feel your disgust and disappointment. Hugs to you and please keep us posted on the progress. Really hoping for a silver lining to this rain cloud for you - hugs!!

It's been couple days. I had time to kick myself in the azz and get my frustrations out. Funny thing, plus side is ...shopping for replacement!!
Back on the hunt.

Still doing 5 stone but on slightly smaller scale. Still doing trellis. Decided to go with BGD for signature stones and setting.
One stone shop

Again thank you soooo much. I needed every hug and every word of support and encouragement you guys provided. Really helped soften the blow!!!!

But #@$# and %@#! i'm so discussed!!!!:angryfire: Okay. Thank was my last rant...lol

I don't know why you would be kicking yourself - so not your fault! You are entitled to be furious and disgusted and disenchanted! We are here to listen and help in any way - BGD diamonds should be showstoppers for you!
 
@ZestfullyBling, again, I'm just so sorry about all of this and I'm continuing to send hugs and good thoughts. I do hope you can take comfort in the fact you're going to end up with a gorgeous ring!! It's going to be a sparkle bomb with those BGD diamonds. Great idea to do everything through one vendor, it will be a lot less stressful for you. I'm already looking forward to seeing it!

Personally, I want to know what the USPS is doing to prevent/investigate/prosecute these situations now and going forward. They seem to have become more rampant and, unless addressed, it will not be safe to mail ANYTHING! Just writing it off and sweeping it under the rug does nothing but encourage more of the same.

(Sorry. I did a little ranting myself there. I am just so upset by this!)

I hope you will start a new thread about your BGD diamonds! I have some small but amazing ones unset because i am such a hoarder. (2025 is going to be the year!)

I hope things around going okay with insurance? I went though a claim last year and it can be stressful process.
