Size of diamond, and what they''ll think!

size is something you guys need to discuss. i agree with a lot of people here that she may change her mind later. communication commmunication communication! make sure you guys discuss it thoroughly. go to the stores and actually try on the different sizes. if indeed she has really small hands and you both agree that something smaller would look better, get the best quality you can.
getting the best quality you can should be your first criteria anyway! her friends won't say a thing when they check out the firecracker on her finger with so much bling-bling that they gotta wear shades!
come back when you're ready to seek advice on the other issues that are more important than size, ie. cut(meaning correct proportions), color, clarity.
