What millimeter size would be similar to a 2 or 3 carat diamond?

A round 1 carat diamond is usually about 6 mm across. For a big dramatic stone, go for something between 10 and 13mm. Do you have small hands, average hands, larger hands? This affects how dramatic/big a stone looks on you, personally.

I assume you are talking about a round diamond.

2ct is about 8.2mm

and

3ct is about 9.3mm

Thanks for the information. My hands are pretty small (I''m 5''2" on a good day) so my fingers are pretty short, but not skinny. I think my ring size is a 5...
