Hello everyone!
I have been a follower of Pricescope for around 8-9 years or so. I’ve enjoyed looking at everyone’s collections but never had anything diamond of my own to post. In my culture 22kt yellow gold jewellery is preferred but I’ve always had a thing for diamonds.
Although I own a large amount of 22kt jewellery which has been given to me by my parents, my husband and his parents, I love my modest ring collection the most.
I received a diamond solitaire set in platinum with diamond shank and a plain platinum band when I got married 5 years ago (in my culture there is no concept of engagement ring, I was given both on the day of the wedding). I helped my husband select the diamond and setting. The diamond is GIA certified 0.61 round brilliant XXX I VS2.
I had my first baby boy late in 2015 and to celebrate this my generous and kind- hearted mother (who has a fantastic collection of diamonds and gems) gifted me a diamond solitaire from WF. It is one of their ES stones certified by AGS and is a J VS2. It is set in the Vatche U113 in platinum.
My husband and I recently had another baby boy and we also celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary this month. At the start of this year my husband said he wanted to buy a ring for me to mark these two special occasions (he gave me a yellow gold and diamond pendant when our first son was born). He offered to upgrade my ring but I love my set and I’m very much attached to it and refused that idea quickly.
We looked at diamond eternity rings but I always felt that a diamond eternity didn’t go very well with my petite set. My wedding band is 2mm wide and diamond ring is 1.8mm wide. I wanted a substantial band that would enhance my set and not detract.
After browsing for a while, I fell absolutely head over heels in love with ruby eternity rings and that was it for me. I became obsessed with them and browsed many websites. My husband I chose a design and I received the ring a few days ago on our anniversary. It’s safe to say I’m very pleased.
The ring is 18kt rose gold and 3.4mm wide with 2 carats of rubies. I’ve taken pictures as best as I can manage of my rings. Please excuse my dry hands- I wash them multiple times during the day with a baby and toddler to look after. I don’t like removing them to apply lotion.
Phew sorry about the novel!
All of my rings are a UK size G1/2 which is US size 3.75.
And here I finally present some pictures.
